Your main body for the marketing project should have the following sections after the
executive summary.
1. Introduction: introduce your company; describe your business, whats your
business objective, mission statement etc. Who are the owners and whats your source
of finance . (10 marks)
2. Marketing Plan (50) : Start with a marketing objective .
a) Target market profile: describe your target market, provide reasons for
selecting this market and explain why you think this segment isprofitable/lucrative/attractive.
b) Positioning strategy: describe how you plan to position your business,
provide positioning map if applicable. Provide a positioning statement
(Example on page 216 of your marketing book)
c) Differentiation strategy : whats your unique selling proposition, why would
customer prefer you over other provider of the same product/service.
d) Marketing Mix : for the following 4 Ps, develop strategies and make sure
they are realistic and in line with your target market.
I. Product strategy
II. Pricing strategy
III. Distribution strategy
IV. Promotional strategy
3. SWOT and Competitors analysis (15 marks) : For the competitors analysis part ,
simply describe who are your competitors and whats the degree of competition you
expect from them. How do you plan to survive or react to your competitors?
4. Conclusion (5 marks) : however you want to conclude. Remember this is the last
part of the report so make it interesting / impressive .
Presentation of the report: 20 marks is on the presentation of the report which
includes proper alignment, font, cover page, table of content, reference, executive
summary etc (mentioned in the first guideline). Your report should be no more than25 pages and no less than 15 pages all together.

Spiral binding or color pages are not required.
Submit on the day of the final exam . Submit hardcopy and email one softcopy tomy address [email protected] . Late submission means 10% deduction for
everyday from the day the report is due.
For the oral presentation part, please wait for my guideline. Presentation will take
place after the end of regular classes for this semester.

Your report must contain the following:
Title Fly: It contains only the report title
Title Page: It displays the title, identification of the writer and authorizer, and the
date.
Letter of Transmittal: It is a personal message from the writer to the reader. Its main
goal is to transmit the report.
Acknowledgement: It is a personal message where the writer recognizes those
persons played crucial role in his report.
Table of Content: The table of contentlists text headings, prefatory parts, appended
parts and figures and tables. It gives page numbers.
Executive summary: It is the summary of the whole report.
Body: Introduction or background, main part of the report, recommendation (If
required) and conclusion.
Reference: It willcontain the name of the sources that you have used in order to write
your report. For example- Web link, book etc.
