Scanning Methods SummaryStatic scan• Examples: scan 3d object, user’s face,
Carpet Combat• Tell the user what to do.• User is knowingly in scanning state.
Dynamic scan 1• Examples: small scale scene (TOYZ 2)• Metering the scene’s “scanability”• User is knowingly in scanning state.
Dynamic scan 2• Examples: large scale scenes (TOYZ)• Make the user do what you want.• Game object placed at the scene, and
the user is focused on it. When the object moves, the user follows it.
• User doesn’t know they are scanning
