SPRING WIRELESSrebrand & custom marketing app

Spring Wireless is a global leader in platformtechnology for enterprise mobility software.Based in Brazil, with 14 offices worldwide, Spring Wireless contacted Design Energy to rebrand the company to help secure a strongerfoothold and presence in the U.S. market.We embarked on and completed a new Brand Map and Messaging Platform exercise. Our first project following the rebrand efforts was to develop a custom Marketing App, targeting CIOs within Fortune 500 companies. The App was geared for use on the iPad, with specific future distribution by Spring Wireless executives and sales via email downloads.The project was a success in helping tosecure meetings with companies such as Coca-Cola, Johnson & Johnson, Wells Fargo,Pabst Brewing Company and Aetna.

SPRING WIRELESScustom corporate videos

As part of Spring Wireless’s rebrandeffort and custom Marketing App,Design Energy created three custom videos (Brand video, CEO video, and a Guide Tour video) for use within the Marketing App as well as Web and online methods. The Brand video was an overview of Spring Wireless’shistory from 2001 - 2012. The GuidedTour video provided a clear andconcise overview of the Spring Wirelesssolution. The CEO video was a message directly from the new CEO of Spring Wireless, David Mitchell.All videos were custom scripted withcustom imagery and voice-overs. All videos can be viewed on YouTube.

ENTERPRISE MOBILErebrand & marketing collateral

Enterprise Mobile, a recent acquisition of Intermec Technologies, provides consulting and outsourcing services to help companies deploy and manage mobile devices. Its services support enterprise deployments of major mobility platforms, includingiPhone, Android, Windows Mobile,BlackBerry, and webOS. In coordinationwith Intermec Technologies, they reached out to Design Energy to initiate a visual rebrand of the company to produce two, eight-page brochure booklets(print and online versions), targetingboth their Board members as well newcustomers. The deliverables were sowell received that we received additionalrequests to initiate discussions for thecreation/development of video stories.

FIBERCLOUDrebrand, marketing collateral &website design (CMS)

FiberCloud is a provider of highspeed scalable bandwidth with data centers in Bellingham, Everett and Seattle. A predominant portion of their growth has been through corporate acquisitions. As a result, their brand became diluted. They hired us to rebrand their company to reflect a clear, concise corporate message and strong identity. We started with a revamp of their corporate positioning and message which culminated in a new tagline: Growth at Any Speed. The new brand we developed served as a more accurate representation of their company and services.

VAROLII CORPORATIONdirect mail campaign

Design Energy was hired by the Varolii Corporation to create a multi-faceted direct mail and email blast campaign to introduce Varolii Generations, a suite of com-munication tools that provides companies with the power to communicate with more customers utilizing its Cross-Channel Reach to determine the most effective channel for the right type of message. Two multi-dimensional direct mail pieces, and three email blastswith webinar links and down-loadable information were designed.The campaign garned the first time ever CIO inquiry call into Varolii within weeks of product delivery.

VIDIATORrebrand, marketing collateral &website design (CMS)

Vidiator is a leading enabler of mobile media (video, audio and 3D messaging) for the delivery of live and on-demand TV, radio, and other multimedia to mobile net-works and devices. They called upon Design Energy to revamp their brand marketing collateral with the exception that their corporatelogo remain untouched. We aimed for a clean, energetic color palette with bold, simple designs. For their website, we integrated avatars, videos and animations. Additionally,we created targeted messaging to provide the technology showcase that a Vidiator required. They werethrilled with the final product.

INTERMEC TECHNOLOGIESevent thematics & collateral

When people come back for seconds, you know you’re doing something right. For the second year in a row, Intermec Technologies, hired us to create conference thematics and collateral to generate buzz and excitment for their annual global sales conference. The theme was Mission Possible. We paired Intermec’s corporate color palette, bold shapes, and graphic imagery into multiple print pieces (postcards, 16-page guide), and a variety of online initiatives (website, web banners and email blasts).

ETAGZ INC.rebrand & marketing collateral

eTAGZ, a company who owns the patent for the process of creating and attaching digital media as a “hang tag” to any merchandise, called upon Design Energy to do a major overhaul of their brand. They needed a better way of telling their story to prospective customers. Everything from corporate voice and messaging to print collateral, website, and tradeshow initiatives were fine-tuned to reflect a clearand accurate story of eTAGZ and their product and service offerings. The final eTAGZ brand infused the company and thesales team with renewed energy.

ETAGZ INC.website design (CMS)

Hyper-Targetable, Super-Trackablewere the core key concepts wedeveloped for the eTAGZ rebrand. We designed an innovative web- site for eTAGZ which incorporated a content managed back-end system that allowed employees the ability to update information on the fly. Site navigation played upon the ideas of “targeting” and “tracking” to compliment and support the corporate message. A unique, interactive animation was designed to provide userswith a bird’s eye view of prominent eTAGZ projects with an option toview each project in further detail.

WASHINGTON STATE CONVENTION & TRADE CENTERnew messaging platform ad & direct mail campaigns

The Washington State Convention & Trade Center hired Design Energy to revamp their image as they felt they appeared too conservative. We delivered a more energetic, “sexier” image for them to attract both new customers, and maintain the sense of professionalism and decorum that existing clients had come to expect. By using elegant images, and an “out-of-the-box” layout, the pieces struck just the right balance between friendly accessibility and dynamic professionalism.

BOEINGidentity design exploration

Good things take time. In the case of Boeing, we have been communicating with our contact there for well over eight years. Our contact called upon Design Energy to develop an exploratory identity concept to present to their internal creative staff. We were part of a small group of external vendors called upon to engage in this exercise. Our designs served the purpose of helping their internal teams engage in thinking outside the box.

PORT OF SEATTLEidentity & marketing collateral

The opening of the new Smith Cove Cruise Terminal marks the 10th year for the cruise business in Seattle. Design Energy created thelogo identity for the Smith Cove Cruise Terminal, as well asbrochures, maps, and special event invitations show-casing the Smith Cove Cruise Terminal. Additionally, we created the logo identity for the Port of Seattle’s Green Gateway Program. The goal of the program is to measure carbon footprints along trade routes to quantify and reduce air emissions from maritime sources.

CELL THERAPEUTICSmarketing collateral system

Cell Therapeutics is a biopharma-ceutical company committedto developing an integrated portfolio of oncology products aimed at making cancer treatable. Our creative approach was clean, clinical and no-nonsense. We wereworking with a company who’s customers were literally people on death’s door. We fully under-stood the sensitive subject matter. Additionally, a portion of theirtarget audience were folks ages50 and over. Therefore, additionalcollateral pieces were created for these folks to ensure that read-ability was unhindered. The finalcollateral system garnered greatreviews from the management team.

EOSCENE CORPORATIONrebrand & tradeshow collateral

Eoscene sought out Design Energy’sservices to help them promote their new web-based healthcare compliance service. The health-care industry is notoriously conservative. Hospitals andcare centers are usually under-staffed. It would take a compelling argument to convince healthcare providers to implement new and unknown technology. Our strategy was to subtly convey the heart of their service: converting accumulated data into usable, actionable information. Our approach hinged on simplification, reassur-ance, user-friendly components and time-saving capabilities.

SOUND PHYSICIANSrebrand, marketing collateral &website design (CMS)

Sound Inpatient Physicians grew over time. Their branding consisted mostly of a logo and color palette. They approached us looking for a complete brand refresh. Backgroundmaterials were gathered and assessed. Focus groups and inter-views were conducted and surveys deployed. A name change to simply Sound Physicians was recommended. A corporate personality was identified resulting in a brand map completion. The identity rebrand consisted of a logo redesign, business papers, executive presentation and a new CMS-based website design.

WATCHGUARDrebrand & marketing collateral

For over a decade, WatchGuard has provided reliable, easy-to-manage firewall and VPN appliancesto hundreds of thousands ofbusinesses worldwide. With best-selling products such as Fireboxand the new enterprise-readyWatchGuard XTM 1050, this companyis a leader within the unified threatmanagement (UTM) solutions.They called upon us to work withtheir internal team to take their identity to the next level. We incorporated bold, daring shapes with targeted messaging that directly resonated with their audi-ences’ needs and sensitivities.

CALYPSO MEDICALproduct packaging design

Calypso Medical has been a valued

client for close to a decade.

We were excited to help them create

a product packaging design for

their first FDA-cleared medical device.

The product, called Calypso® 4D

Localization System, is the very

first of it’s kind in the treatment

of prostate cancer. Numerous design

variables were considered such

as radiation effects on printed ink

colors, device labeling strategy,

and the seamless inclusion of patient

cards and Instructions-For-Use

pamphlets. The final product was

strategically designed to compliment

their existing brand standards.

RADIANT RESEARCHad campaign

These designs were created for Radiant Research forad publication placement. Radiant Research is a compre-hensive clinical research and development companyserving the biopharmaceuticaland medical device industry.Their focus is providing high quality study conduct and drug development services.The ads were geared towards medical professionals and the medical industry. Bold, clean designs coupled with engaging, no-nonsense messaging delivered the visual impact the client desired.

ICOS CORPORATIONinteractive product demo

The Icos Corporation hired Design Energy to create a unique, showcase product demo for their erectile dysfunction drug (Cialis).We created a fun, interactive interface which consisted of ananimated “romance calculator” where the user could research “romantic moments” (indoor picnics, fireplace campout, seaside get-aways, etc.) that they could explore within the 36 hour effectiveness of the drug. The demo was fun and engaging, yet serious for the sensitive subject matter. The demo also included animated banners with multiple links to related health and lifestyle information.

INTERMEC TECHNOLOGIEScustom illustrations

When words just aren’t enough to convey the value of your product or service, clients come to Design Energy for custom illustration services. Intermec Technologies, a long time clientof ours, hired us to create a custom illustration gallery for use in their marketing and sales initiatives. Over the span of two years, Design Energy created numerous dimensionalillustrations that ranged from highly detailed works which showcased their product offerings within different supply chain environments, as well as numerous product illustrations.

MAYES TESTING ENGINEERSmarketing collateral system

Mayes Testing Engineers (MTE)has been a loyal client of Design Energy for the past decade.They are one of the largestproviders of construction qualityassurance services in the Pacific Northwest. They neededa new marketing collateralsystem as they were going afterlarger clients. Additionally,they wanted to showcase several prominent projects: Seahawks Stadium, Amgen Headquarters, Tacoma Convention Center, Museum of Glass and the SeaTac Airport Concourse “A”. The newcollateral system we developed was fresh, exciting and exactly whatthe MTE team was looking for.

PHILIPS MEDICALproduct sheet campaign

Philips Medical is a global leader and trusted choice in defibrillation technology. They offer a complete line of manual and automated defibrillators that are safe, easy-to-use, and designed to help improve surival outcomes wherever and whenever sudden cardiac arrest occurs. Design Energy created a product sheet campaign targeted toretail and hospitality environments. The goal of the campaign was to highlight the advantage of having Philips Medical equipment on hand for emergencies, and to provide specific medical facts and information regarding cardiac arrest.

ISHIP (DIVISION OF UPS)corporate folder system

iShip needed a corporate folder system specifically geared towards business clients. Sales team members were essentially stuffing papers into a folder which made it difficult to retrieve specific information efficiently when needed. Design Energy created a unique and innovativefolder design which, when opened, provided a broad, expansive view of all content within. This highly sophisticated, meticulously engineered design made a bold statement when delivered to customers.

NOETIX CORPORATIONcorporate brochure

The Noetix Corporation is a world-class provider of business intelligence (BI) software and services for enterprise applications. They have been a long time, valued client of Design Energy. We have worked with them on numerous brand, web, and marketing initiatives. Our most recent project was the design of a corporate brochure specifcally geared towards their Noetix BI Oracle E-Business Suite. We worked in close collaboration with their internal Creative Director for the development of this piece. The brochure design mapped to the visual brand elements we created for Noetix over the years.

POPCAP GAMESproduct packaging

PopCap Games, an award-winninginternet gaming company, hired Design Energy to work withtheir internal creative team todevelop packaging design concepts for one of their top sellinggames: Bookworm Adventures.With audience demographics ranging in age from 7 to 70, the box design had to reach a broad audi-ence. Our box design concepts were created to be enticing and intriguing—to spark curiosity. We incorporated rich, colorful visuals showcasing various game characters and game screens to help buyers get a feel for the game prior to purchase.

MICROSOFTTradeshow & Event Design

We have worked with Microsoft for many years; both directly as well as indirectly under other agency brand umbrellas. One of our agency partners called upon us to provide design creative on a tradeshow and event project designed to help attract the best and most top-notch people for employment opportunities at Microsoft. The tradeshow themedeveloped was “Go ahead: dream big”. Not only was the tradeshow booth large in overall size; but the employee lead generation resultingfrom the tradeshow was a huge success. We did it up BIG alright!
