The Organic, Foundational Documents: The Declaration of Independence - Concluded

This deployment is the third and final summary of the remainder of the Declaration of Independence. We now examine the litany of offences by King George III. It was addressed, not to the King of England, but rather to God and the rest of the civilized world. It launched what we now call the American “Revolution”. But, ours was more an Appeal to Heaven than the kind of rebellion that some of the other subsequent Revolutions such as the French Revolution’s Reign of Terror, or the Bolshevik Russian Revolution, tended to be. This Declaration was just that; a simple declarative statement. It was not a demand letter threatening anything or negotiating any terms. It was simply a long list of the offences that the King of England had already been committing that impelled the colonies to invoke the 4th Right to Alter or Abolish any destructive government, as previously stated in This Declaration: That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. King George was indeed quite out of control, and in fact, insane at the time. He was suffering from the mental derangement and physical discomfort of a rare genetic disorder called Porphyria. This disease is the result of abnormal purine metabolism, interrupting the breakdown of used DNA1.

1 Porphyria also makes bodily fluids like urine and saliva glow in the dark, giving rise to vampire and werewolf legends. King George III must have been a terror to his staff, but our separation from this monster birthed the greatest nation on earth.

Another inherited disorder of DNA metabolism may also have served to created America when Prime Minister Lord Grenville failed to attend parliament because of an attack of Gout. He was to have voted against the Intolerable Acts such as the Stamp Act and Tea Tax that set off the Boston Tea Party.

The signers of The Declaration of Independence made tremendous sacrifices, most lost everything.2 We, therefore, the Representatives of the united States of America, in General Congress, Assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good People of these Colonies, solemnly publish and declare, That these united Colonies are, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent States, that they are Absolved from all Allegiance to the British Crown, and that all political connection between them and the State of Great Britain, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as Free and Independent States, they have full Power to levy War, conclude Peace, contract Alliances, establish Commerce, and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent States may of right do. — And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor.
