president, vice-president, a secretary '.ind a treasurer. -Section 2. The duties of these officers shall be those

which usually pE:'rtain to such offices; -Section 3. No person shall be eligible for the same

office for more than two consecutive years. _,, .Section 4. The -officers shall be elected iw the Au"

gust or September meeting to be held concurrently wi th the County Institute. They shall take office at the close of this meeting.

Article V. iExecutive Board Section 1. The executive board shall consist of the

president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer and the chairman of each standing committee. The County Super-intendent shall be a m ember, ex-officio, of this board.

Section 2. The executive board shall meet between regular meetings :if the Association to transact such busi-ness as may be necessary.

Section 3. A majority of the executive board shall constitute a quorum to transact business.

Article ·vr Committees Section 1. The president shall appoint the follow-

ing standing committees each consisting of three mem-bers:

A. Program Committee. This committee with the as-sistance of the County Superintendent of Schools shall make plans and arrangements for the regu-lar meetings.

B. Finance Committee. The treasurer of the Associ--ation shall be one m ember of this committee. The committee shall draw up a budget and present it at the April meeting of the Association.

C. General Welfare Committee. This committee shall m ake a study of the problems of the profession and submit recommendations to the Association.

Section 2. A standing legislative committee shall be nominated by the president and elected by the Asssocia-tion at the August or September meeting. Nominations may be accepted from the floor.

Section 3. A nominating committee shall be ap-pointed by the president to prepare a slate of candidates for the August or September meeting. This committee shall be temporary. Nominations for candidates for office may be made from the floor.

Article VII. Meetings

Section 1. The regular meetings of the Association shall be held in August or SeptE:mber, December a n d April (three meetings). The exact dates of the meetings shall be determined by the program committee.

Section 2. Special meetings of the Association may be called by the Executive Board.

Section 3. A quorum shall consist of all members present at a regular or special meeting.

Section 4. The secretary shall notify each member in writing of the meetings.

Article VIII. Amendments

Amendments to the constitution and by-laws of this Association shall be made only at a regular or special meeting thereof, by % vote of the members present.

No proposition to amend shall be acted upon unless written notice t.heTeof has been given to the secretary at least 30 days prior to the meeting. A copy of such propo-sition shall be sent to each m ember of the Association at leRst 10 days before the date of the meeting at which he amendment is to be voted upon.
