Delphi Project Foundation

Delphi Project Foundation is funded by Reliance Standard Life Insurance Company,

Reliance Standard Life Insurance Company established Delphi Project Foundation in 1996 to support educational and cultural causes in the City of Philadelphia.

Delphi Project Foundation provides INNOVATIVE and IMPACTFUL arts education and career training programs to positively affect underserved Philadelphia public school students. Delphi Project Foundation partners with The Philadelphia Museum of Art, Pennsylvania Ballet, and The Philadelphia Zoo to offer rich, immersive experiences at world-renowned cultural institutions.

The Delphi Project Foundation programs bring exceptional arts experiences to students as well as:

• Build self–esteem

• Enhance critical thinking skills

• Expose students to career opportunities

• Provide students with a safe and enriching place to gather

Philadelphia Museum of Art Delphi Project Foundation Programs

Delphi Project Foundation supports numerous visual art programs at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The programs include: The Delphi After School Art Club, Delphi Art Partners, Delphi Art Futures, The Teen Sketch Club, and The Delphi Summer Teen Media Program. These in-depth experiences include after school, artist-in-residence, and summer programming.

• Students have access to the Museum’s world renowned collection through customized gallery tours

• Students create artwork inspired by the collection using high quality artistic materials

• Classes are taught by professional teaching artists and the Museum’s award winning Education Staff

• Student art exhibitions are displayed and celebrated at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and other locations throughout the City

Each year students from 19 schools and community organizations throughout the City of Philadelphia participate in the programs.

Pennsylvania Ballet Program Delphi Accent on Dance

Delphi Accent on Dance is a comprehensive after school dance program that provides instruction in 3 dance disciplines:

• Ballet

• Ballroom Dance

• Contemporary Dance

The program also includes:

• Attendance at Pennsylvania Ballet Dress Rehearsal and Full Performances

• Visits to Pennsylvania Ballet studio rehearsals

• A culminating collaborative student performance at the Prince Theater

• Creative writing workshops and student spoken-word performances

• Customized Philadelphia Museum of Art gallery tours featuring dance and movement in art

Middle School level students from 6 schools in Philadelphia participate each year.

Philadelphia Zoo Program Zoo CREW Champions for Restoring Endangered Wildlife

Zoo CREW is an award winning college-prep and career skills building program. Zoo CREW requires a 3-4 year commitment with a progression of experiences including workshops, field trips, hands-on animal care, mentoring, and volunteer and paid employment at the Zoo. The program also includes:

• Off-site eco-excursions focused on animal and environmental conservation

• Monthly Saturday Workshops that focus on the college application, essay writing, financial aid literacy, visits to colleges and SAT prep classes, as well as animal care and conservation issues

• Career training experiences with Zoo Keepers, Veterinarians and Zoo Staff, as well as resume writing, job application and interview skills training

• The opportunity to earn college scholarships

Zoo CREW boasts a solid platform for educational success with a 100% high school graduation rate and 96% college matriculation since its inception.
