BUILDING ON THE SUCCESS OF OUR ANNUAL CONFERENCE In November 2019 we delivered the second Pharmacy Together conference, in partnership with Pharmacy Management. The first conference in 2018 was a huge success, and we were delighted to be able to make further improvements to our 2019 event. Bookings were closed early due to full capacity. A very well organised, professional conference which inspired and reminded me of the variety of roles possible within the profession. Pharmacy Together delegate, 2019 Our line up of speakers was outstanding, and we showcased the incredible work that is undertaken throughout the year by our members through poster presentaons. The highest quality work aracted awards from our judging panel, and allowed us to recognise and celebrate our membersdetermined desire for improvements in pharmacy pracce and paent care. CELEBRATING OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENTS

The highlight of our year is always the opportunity to reward and celebrate the outstanding achievements of our members.

This year, we were immensely proud to present the UKCPA Lifetime Achievement Award 2019 to Professor Anna Murphy, a Consultant Pharmacist in respiratory medicine at University Hospitals of Leicester, and Visiting Professor at De Montfort University.

Dr Ruth Bednall (pictured left), Chair of UKCPA, presented Professor Murphy (pictured right)with her award by saying “Over the years we have celebrated a range of individuals, many of whom have come from academia or had significant influence on the strategic development of our profession. This year our winner is an exceptional clinician.”

We were delighted to present two additional awards at our annual conference: the UKCPA Patient Safety Award and the Bowmed Ibisqus Antimicrobial Management Award.
