    There's not enough teacher

    Families need money for their kidseducation

    Mexico has historically had high dropout

    rates as poor families pull kids out of schoolto help put food on the table, and childrenoften sell candy and crafts in the streets orwork in restaurants.

    mandatory, students still graduate and gettheir associates degree.

    Cuba spends about 10% of its central budgetin education.

    Education is free uniforms, meals are free student to teacher ratios are low

    Rural areas have poor quality of education. Females tend to have lower attendance in

    rural areas. El Salvador's educational system doesn't

    have programs to help kids with specialneeds.

    Kids are often forced to stop going to schoolso they can work to help with the familyexpenses.

    What did we do for the project?

    We had many meetings with Cristal, andtalked about ways to fundraise and how theHashoo Foundation makes an impact in the

    Pakistani community.

    Fundraising at school. With administrator's help and advice, we decided

    to sell items such as honey buns and chips. We were able to sell before HISD rules about selling

    food in our school were enforced.

    Working as a team, we were able to make animpact in many different families. We alsolearned that when we set our minds on
