Goals and objectives:

To fundraise money to help women inPakistan and Houston. Our goal was $700.

To raise awareness about the Hashoo

Foundation. To make an impact in the Pakistani

community.

Our argument is that education can only beachieved through economic stability.

Mexico's education

Most kids attend primary school 62% reach secondary school At secondary level, about 1/2 of students

drop out and only a quarter reach highereducation

Why?

Teachers in different poor areas of Mexicodon't have many resources to work with

There's not enough teacher

Families need money for their kidseducation

Mexico has historically had high dropout

rates as poor families pull kids out of schoolto help put food on the table, and childrenoften sell candy and crafts in the streets orwork in restaurants.

All kids attend to school in Cuba The percentage of graduates per year is 96% Having a proper education in Cuba is almost

mandatory, students still graduate and gettheir associates degree.

Cuba spends about 10% of its central budgetin education.

Education is free uniforms, meals are free student to teacher ratios are low

90% attend to primary school 28.5% attend to secondary school Only 16% of the population has a high school

diploma or higher.

Why?

Rural areas have poor quality of education. Females tend to have lower attendance in

rural areas. El Salvador's educational system doesn't

have programs to help kids with specialneeds.

Kids are often forced to stop going to schoolso they can work to help with the familyexpenses.

Among the country's population which is 313.9million about 85% has completed high school,and 27% has received a bachelors degree.

There are 68.4 millions of kids between theages five and nineteen, 30 million of themdon't attend to school.

Why?

School's are in bad conditions. No desk, no chairs, sharing rooms with at least 6

more classes, no AC

Kids drop out at an early age to work fortheir families. Taliban threatening schools if they have

girls enrolled

What did we do for the project?

We had many meetings with Cristal, andtalked about ways to fundraise and how theHashoo Foundation makes an impact in the

Pakistani community.

Fundraising at school. With administrator's help and advice, we decided

to sell items such as honey buns and chips. We were able to sell before HISD rules about selling

food in our school were enforced.

Elianis:I learned that not everybody has the sameopportunities in life, thats why if you can help others, doit because it might impact their life in a positive way.

Sandra: A lot of people struggle throughout life, forexample women and their kids in Pakistan, knowing whatthey go through it feels good to know we are making adifference in their lives.

Karen: I learned that there are people around the worldwho need help, and that us as young people have to popthat bubble we live in and realize how much we can dofor others, and what impact we can make in their lives.

Continue promoting the Hashoo Foundation Encourage juniors to take over our project

in their senior year.

Conclusion

Working as a team, we were able to make animpact in many different families. We alsolearned that when we set our minds on

something and work hard for it, it is possibleto achieve it.
