Issue, Description &

Background

Marion County has agreed to sell Auburn Park to Salem-Keizer School for the amount of $360,000.00

On March 13, 2019, Marion County's Board of Commissioners signed a purchase and sale agreement

agreeing to the terms and conditions of the sale of Auburn Park. Public Works staff have since worked

with the school district and AmeriTitle to prepare a Statutory Warranty Deed for the property, as

required by the agreement. This deed requires the Board of Commissioners' signature before the two

parties may proceed with closing of the sale and disbursement of funds from escrow.

Upon signature from the Board of Commissioners, a closing date will be scheduled between the two

parties to finalize the sale

Financial Impacts:Salem Keizer School District will purchase Auburn Park from Marion County for the price of $360,000.00
