Thanks for the Party! Thank you to each FASA member who brought a dish to share at the November Potluck! Thanks also to Entertainment Chairperson Leslie Dumas for organizing the party. Lovely

Fall table decorations were compliments of Cathy Fann, Rachel Dixon and Pat Trujillo.

Our very own DJ, David Sessoms, knows what we love to hear; it was great to have him

spinning the tunes.

Hello Shaggers, The Christmas season is finally here. The hustle and bustle has begun. Beautiful decorations everywhere and people are out shopping for the per-fect gift for everyone on their list. (Just a reminder that FASA memberships make great Christmas presents) Don’t forget to slow down and enjoy this beautiful sea-son. Sometimes the most precious gift is spending time with someone, or helping someone who is unable to do simple little things for themselves. Changing a light bulb, sweeping off the porch, going to the grocery store are all simple tasks that we take for granted until they are no longer simple tasks. They become unbeara-ble challenges. Gifts come from the heart; they are not always thing bought in a

store.

December also brings my time as your FASA President to an end. It has been a great honor and pleasure to represent FASA. Thank you for trusting me to represent you. It was not possible for me to do my job without all of the wonderful support from everyone! A special thank you to the 2018 and 2019 FASA Boards and committees members, Norman Russ, Peggy Mc Lamb, Joyce Carlton, Johnny Boyles, Bruce Carlton, Kathi Baloyot, Cathy Fann, Denise Rowe, Tom Hobgood, Dwight Vinson, Joyce Ramos, Leslie Dumas, Ricci Fuller, Steve Miller, Ray Baloyot, Dwayne Bag-

gett, and Beverly Hobgood. These are the people who have kept FASA functioning for the past two years along with everyone that hosted a party, worked the door, brought food, came to meetings, parties, and helped clean up. Every member of FASA is extremely important for the future of our

club.

The FASA Christmas party will be December 7th at the Elks Lodge from 7-11 pm. Make plans to join us for delicious food, great dancing with DJ Roy Childress and the best fellowship you will find anywhere. Members get in free and guests are $10 per person. We will be collecting toys again

this year for the Marine’s program, Toys for Tots. Please bring an unwrapped toy priced $10 or up.

December 10th is another important date for FASA. Join us for our final meeting of the year. It is urgent that everyone attend in order to have a quorum. We will be voting in the new board for 2020. The nominees are President- Dwight Vinson; Vice President- Pat Trujillo; Treasurer- Tom Hobgood; Recording Secretary- Denise Rowe; Corresponding Secretary- Beverly Hobgood; Sergeant-at-Arms- Dwayne Baggett. Please let these people know how much you appreciate their willing-

ness to donate their time and effort to keep FASA moving forward by attending the meeting.

Thank you again for all your love and support over the last two years. It has been a true honor! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Love,

a safe and healthy New Year! Rick and Pam Hamblen

What am I thankful for this year? Of course, I’m truly thankful for my family, extended family, and very dear friends. I

am also thankful for all the blessings bestowed upon me and for the opportunity to give back through my association

with Fayetteville Urban Ministry. There are, however, some significant things for which I am thankful and deserve an

Honorable Mention; my two cats (Peanut and Kenny) who love me unconditionally. Pat Chabra
