Meeting news :

President Shirley Weiss opened theNovember 6, 2014 General Meeting withthe Pledge of Allegiance. There were 33members present.

The Oct 2, 2014 meeting minutes were read byRecording Secretary Polly Bush. The minutes wereapproved as read.

On Wednesday October 8th, Dave & Anne Loefflerdanced at Delta Dental in Mechanicsburg. Theyreceived $50 and have donated it to the club. Thankyou Anne and Dave.

There is a misprint on the 2015 dance schedules. Thecorrect date for our November dance is November 14,2015. Please correct your schedule.

Sandy and Andy Green have accepted the position asnewsletter editors. Thank you very much.

There will be four bands sponsored for 2015 thanks tothe generosity of club members.

Two members from the dance class have joined theclub. Welcome.

Please sign up to attend the 3rd Friday Night Christmasparty on December 19th. at the Swatara MunicipalBldg. Our club has been part of their celebration forover 30 years. Please call Shirley Weiss at 975-0114.

The Polka Quads will be playing at the St. LawrenceClub on Nov 23 from 2PM to 6PM. $5.00.

Membership Report:

Wayne Bowers states that we currently have 224members for the new membership year.

CCPDA MEETINGS :The next Board Meeting will be held December 4th at 6:30 PM and the General Meeting will be at 7:30 PM.

Both meetings are held at the Chambers Hill Fire Co at 6400 Chambers Hill Road, Harrisburg, PA

Giving Thanks—November 8, 2014

Our evening was filled with the wonderful

music of Walt Groller and his Orchestra.

They played a very nice selection of tunes and were quite

happy to take requests. Many dancers were wearing their

German finest so it almost felt like Oktoberfest in

November.

The hosts for the evening were Van

Webster and Carol Heide and

Barb and Bill Fenwick.

Thank you very much !

One highlight of the evening was a tribute to all the Veterans who were present.

Walt called them to the front to be acknowledged and thanked for their service.

We then all joined in singing a medley of patriotic songs. It was a very nice tribute

for Veterans Day.

Thank you Sandy Green for making the beautiful basket of cheer and to Ken

Faust and Bea Kohler for selling the raffle tickets. Our ticket sponsors were

Glenn Steager and Sandy Smith. Thank you both. As always, a big thank you to

everyone who brought a door prize and to those who stayed and helped to clean up.
