Here we are in December already, and looking for-ward to the GCDA Christmas party. Fingers
crossed that the weather is good this year—or at
least dry!! The committee has been working hard so that all of us can enjoy an afternoon of great food, conversation, and of course, the ornament raffle. Congratulations to our newly elected officers, Linda Kohler, President, Melanie Wilmhoff, Treasurer, and Michelle Kohler, Membership. It was great to have so many members in attendance at the No-vember meeting. In addition to the election, we
were able to approve GCDA’s 2015 budget.
Remember to renew your 2015 memberships with GCDA and SDP. There’s so much fun planned for next year! See you at the party! Susan

Christmas Raffle Thank you all for coming through on the ornaments and baskets! The following members turned in
ornaments during November:
Jan Bowen Peggy Hermes Emily Stamm
Sally Sutterfield Judy Wolf Jean Sanning
If you have not turned in your ornaments and you have them, give me a call and let’s see if I can help
you get them to me. Thirty eight (38) members have turned in either ornaments or a basket. There
are eight (8) baskets that we will raffle off and (1) incentive piece. So that leaves twenty nine (29)
ornaments in the baskets. Wish we had more!
We need to sell Raffle Tickets for these baskets. This is the second largest fundraiser we have for
the chapter, so it’s really important that we sell as many Raffle tickets as we can. The baskets and
ornaments really are a treasure since they are all hand painted and we have so many talented paint-
ers in our chapter.
Pat Hull has loaded photos of some of the raffle baskets on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/
GreaterCincinnatiDecorativeArtists?ref=hl. Please “share” the article on your Facebook page and
maybe some of your friends, family or co-workers will be interested to buy Raffle tickets from you.
If you need Raffle tickets before the Christmas Party, call or email me and I will get them to you.
If you have any questions about the Raffle, please do not hesitate to talk to me.
Thanks!
Melanie Wilmhoff

Program Report Emily Stamm, VP Programs We really had a lively meeting in November with elections of officers, and Sandie Tieman’s wonderful snowman class. Many members used their voucher to paint with Sandie . It was a great time for all 23 students! Thank you Sandie for accommodating so many students and offering such a fun class! Also--Congratulations to the new members on our board! December brings our Christmas party, and lots of fun! We can still think ahead to the January 11th meeting and class which follows, when Jan Bowen will teach a project in acrylics. Information about her class will be sent in a separate email. Our first workshop of the year is Saturday, February 28, when Pat Hull will teach a colored pencil workshop and information will be sent after the first of the year.
