    In this investigation, students prove that the measures of the three angles in any triangle have a sum of 180°. Once students draw a line through one vertex that is parallel to the opposite side, ensure that they see how the two adjacent sides of the triangle are now transversals. You may want to use The Geometer's Sketchpad® to explore the angle properties for acute, right, and obtuse triangles.
