A resident of Chilliwack, he has shown his artwork in galleries across Canada, and has written and illustrated several books for children. In 2006, his book, Let's Go for a Ride was nominated for the Governor General Award for Children's Illustration. His latest book, Counting on Snow (published by Tundra Books) was officially launched on January 15 at the Chilliwack Art Gallery. His book invites children to count down from ten crunching caribou to one lonely moose, by finding other northern animals as they turn the pages. The exhibition Home, Community and Northern Wildlife is comprised of artwork from three of his delightful books. Gallery Hours: 12:00 – 5:00 PM (Wed-Sat) January 15 – February 17, 2011

The Cultural Centre is the main venue for the many divisions of the festival, excluding the Organ (Chilliwack United Church) and Bands (G.W. Graham Middle School). There are 1,650 entries with over 4,600 participants with ages 5-20 years. Our music division also accommodates adult entries.

Performers receive written and oral critique from some of Canada’s top professional adjudicators. Master classes and workshops are offered in the different disciplines and age categories. We offer awards, trophies, and scholarships of encouragement.
