By putting excellent efforts in 3rd semester, We have prepared these three canvases:1.Empathy Canvas,2.Ideation Canvas,3.Product Development canvas
Now it’s turn for 4th semester, Confused? What to do?
Don’t worry,In upcoming slides all the Guidelines for
4th semester are here…………

ActivitiesSomeone (User) is involved…- How?- What actually is going on?- Why it is going on?- How it is going on?- What is involved?

Environments – The Surroundings…Where (Activity) is happening?- What are circumstances?- Time effects, any?- Seasonal effects, any? - Person effects, any?- Operational effects, any?
Why variations Or
What versions
What governs…?

Interactions
- Who are involved? Why? How?- What (users) are holding/ operating/ using… Human Extensions- How the contacts are in action?- Action vs. Reaction…

Objects
These are building blocks of the environment, key elements sometimes put to complex or unintended uses (thus changing their function, meaning and context)
What are the objects and devices people have in their environments and how do they relate to their activities?
![Page 17: De 1 (b)](https://reader036.fdocuments.in/reader036/viewer/2022062821/589c2ac11a28ab65248b5e6d/html5/thumbnails/17.jpg)

Users Users are the people whose behaviours,
preferences, and needs are being observed.
Who is there? What are their roles and relationships? What are their values and prejudices?

PHASE II - Pre-Design Learning needs identification using LN MATRIX
![Page 23: De 1 (b)](https://reader036.fdocuments.in/reader036/viewer/2022062821/589c2ac11a28ab65248b5e6d/html5/thumbnails/23.jpg)
LN Matrix (Paper size A2 – 18” x 24”) LN – Learning Needs Matrix will help students to
identify the learning requirements at an early stage along with prioritization of specific learning along with defined time duration/ time allocation for each.
Identification will be focused with listing out Syllabus based and out of syllabus learning & skill development
![Page 24: De 1 (b)](https://reader036.fdocuments.in/reader036/viewer/2022062821/589c2ac11a28ab65248b5e6d/html5/thumbnails/24.jpg)
![Page 25: De 1 (b)](https://reader036.fdocuments.in/reader036/viewer/2022062821/589c2ac11a28ab65248b5e6d/html5/thumbnails/25.jpg)
LN MATRIX Students are to identify requirements in each four dimensions Priority learning shall be taken up in Sem. IV of BE II (At least one
from any of the four quadrants by each student)
By the end of BE III Students will be developing working model. By that time, most of all quadrants shall be covered under learning.
Supportive aspects (with least priority) shall be placed in BE IV.
Discretion lies with faculty guide and student group to identify prioritization and set learning time line targets…
![Page 26: De 1 (b)](https://reader036.fdocuments.in/reader036/viewer/2022062821/589c2ac11a28ab65248b5e6d/html5/thumbnails/26.jpg)

PHASE III – Dirty Mock-ups/Fast Prototype Developing Proof of Concept
![Page 28: De 1 (b)](https://reader036.fdocuments.in/reader036/viewer/2022062821/589c2ac11a28ab65248b5e6d/html5/thumbnails/28.jpg)
Dirty Mock-ups/ Prototypes/ Concepts Students will prepare fast prototypes (non-working/
partially working) / conceptual layout – drawings as the case may be, based on the observations and understanding on insights obtained.
Suggested refinement shall be included in the final draft version.
Basic calculations will be required…
![Page 29: De 1 (b)](https://reader036.fdocuments.in/reader036/viewer/2022062821/589c2ac11a28ab65248b5e6d/html5/thumbnails/29.jpg)
Dirty Mock-ups/ Prototypes/ Concepts Next step is to validate this concept/ prototype
through user.
