FT-DC2-S/AS Alarm Feature Activation

With a new product comes a learning curve. While we attempted to minimize the differences between our standard brains (CM800-S, CM600-AS, CM7x00, etc.), there are some important differences to note. When attempting to use the DC2 as a full remote start with security, whether it’s the DC2S or DC2AS the alarm feature is OFF by default. This will give you a

step by step walk through to enable the alarm feature.

a. Select the Vehicle the DC2 is Getting Installed Into

For demonstration purposes we’ve already selected a vehicle. Once you’ve selected the vehicle it will show you the firmware the control module will be flashed to. Before hitting “FLASH!” you’ll want to select “CONFIGURE FEATURES.”

e. Installation Notes

The Brown / Black Dot wire on the M2 connector (Black 12 pin connector, pin 7) is your siren output.

The Red 4-pin connector at the end of the DC2 (near LED 2) is for the FT-DAS sensor.

The dial, next to the Red 4-pin FT-DAS port is for the FT-DAS sensitivity with settings OFF to 10. 1 is the LEAST sensitive, 10 is the MOST sensitive - - this is opposite when compared to the FT-7S and FT-7AS controllers.
