Days be fulfilled Set up thy seed after thee, establish his kingdom. He shall build an house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom for ever. The Tree of Jesse is a depiction in art of the ancestors of Christ, shown in a tree which rises from Jesse of Bethlehem, the father of king David. It originates from Isaiah 11:1, "And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots“
