David’s Confidence and his ability to show it, is what

caught my attention. The topic in which he

chose to speak about, Lessons from death row inmates,

is a subject that most people would

find interesting. Once you hear the

speech it really takes you by surprise.

I like the way David uses the power

point to better help visualize what he is

trying to tell you

• He has a valid point and when he is speaking he is confident in his topic that he speaks on

The power point is also helpful to keep the audience interested in his topic

Sir Ken’s view on the schools destroying creativity, is a very interesting subject. I can understand his argument with this matter,

because he made valid statements and gave examples to better help you see where he was

going with the matter.

•David Dow keeps his audience engaged by using power point presentations but has more of a laid back way of speaking

•Sir Ken is able to keep the audience entertained, and at the same time he keeps a level of professionalism and get his point across.

David said that the decrease of death sentences has not brought the number

of executions per year down, and he gave a good explanation for this matter by explaining how the lawyers for death row inmates think about each case. The system is starting to give life without

parole even though the murder rates aren’t decreasing.

I have learned that you don’t have to be funny to have a successful delivery

and sometimes being more serious (depending on the topic) is more

effective than being funny

Based on what i have learned through watching David Dow I can say

for people with upcoming speeches, be yourself and be confident in

what you are speaking on

•Through out the speech David although being conservative, finds a way to keep his audience engaged by showing the differences in recent years with charts.

David also said that Texas was executing almost 2

people a month since 1996 . Thats a very solid and

interesting fact from his speech

•Davids seriousness in his topic and his laid back persona gives you a feeling that this man knows exactly what he is talking about
