The ML-1500 2c features an integrated protective enclosure and a traverse path of 1,520 mm x 1,150 mm (W x D) which accomodates typical sheet material sizes used in the counter plate industry. The front swing door allows easy and comfrortable access.

HSK-E 25 Tool Holders

The HSK-E tool holders developed by DATRON and Schunk feature a stable, rotation-symmet-rical design delivering a concentricity of less than 3 μm. This permits high quality milling results at a speed of up to 60,000 RPM. With passive vibration damping, the life of the high frequency spindle and the cutting tool is signifi-cantly improved.

VacuMate™— How it works

The VacuMate™ is designed to efficiently secure flat workpieces to the machining bed. A low cost, gas-permeable substrate serves as a sacrificial vacuum diffuser, allowing the cutter to machine through the workpiece, without cut-ting into the table.

Vacuum workholding for large sheet material

Datron VacuMate workholding is a very flexible system for securing flat work pieces. The principal of the system is simply an assembly that has micro drilled holes in a grid pattern that uses a flow of air pulling downward through the holes, sucking flat workpiecesto the table surface. No gaskets are required with this system. Place on top of the aluminum table, is a thin permeable card stock that distributes the vacuum evenly while acting as a sacrificial sub-strate for any cut-through of the work piece. Probing technology

Our probes measure irregular material sur-faces and compensate automatically. So, you can probe an irregular surface and execute a program as if it were a flat work piece. This feature is ideal when precision depths are required on large work pieces, such as engraving on a large panel. This can be a huge time saver in the set-up of work pieces.

With the DATRON CleanCut™ System, chips and debris are efficiently removed during machining. Virtually chip-free machining is achieved with vacuum ex-traction technology developed specifi-cally for machining sheet material. This eliminates time-consuming machine clean up. Surface quality is maintained because there is no contact between the CleanCut system and the mate-rial. The CleanCut head automatically extends and retracts for a high degree of efficiency. Because of its integrated design, tool and 3D measurement can be performed without restriction.
