NOTES FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Parents and Carers,
I feel very honoured and privileged to be appointed the Principal of Morwell Central Primary School and I am excited about our journey ahead.
Sometime over the next two weeks I will be starting to work from both Tobruk Street and Morwell Pri-mary Schools. The Principals from both schools have both been kind enough to find a small space for me to call home!!
I believe by basing myself two days a week at Tobruk Street and two days at Morwell Primary I can begin to get to know the students, families and staff at each of these schools as well as I know the students, families and staff at Commercial Road Primary.
Over the course of this year the other Principals and I have had the opportunity to build a positive work-ing relationship and we will continue to work collaboratively to ensure a smooth and successful transi-tion for our school communities.
Until an Internal Acting Principal is appointed at Commercial Road Primary I will obviously be supporting and assisting with hand over arrangements so you will still see my wandering around.
Regards
Justine Smyth

MORWELL CENTRAL PRIMARY INTERIM SCHOOL COUNCIL MEETING
This Wednesday 12th October is our next Interim School Council Meeting. The meeting will be held at Morwell Bowling Club at 5:30pm. Please advise office staff if you are unable to attend. Tea will be pro-vided.
COMMERCIAL ROAD PRIMARY SCHOOL COUNCIL
Next Monday 17th October at 6:00pm is our next School Council Meeting. Please advise office staff if you are unable to attend.
WALK FOR WATER
On Friday 14th October we are having a ‘WALK FOR WATER’. All children from grades Prep through to 6 will be participating. The students will walk laps of the oval carrying water bottles just like the East Ti-mor Children do. Donation booklets were sent home last week, these need to be returned to the teach-er by Thursday 13th October.
Casual clothes can be worn on the day with a touch of blue and comfortable walking shoes. Students are asked to bring an empty water bottle to carry whilst walking.
All donated money will go towards providing water filters for remote schools in East Timor.
