Check in the McAfee DLP extension for McAfee ePO

Task1 In McAfee ePO, click the McAfee ePO menu icon on the upper left corner and select Software Manager.

2 Select the software to check in: McAfee Data Loss Prevention 11.0 Extension.

3 Validate the details of your selection, , then click Actions | Check-in.

4 Accept the terms, and click OK.

5 Wait for the task to complete.

Check in the McAfee DLP Discover server package

Task

1 In McAfee ePO, click the Menu icon and select Software Manager again.

2 Select the software package to check in: McAfee Data Loss Prevention Discover Server 11.0, then click Actions| Check-in.

3 Complete all steps as before.

4 In McAfee ePO, click the Menu icon and select DLP Settings, under Data Protection.

5 On the DLP Settings page, do the following:

a Enter the license key and click Add.

b Enter the Evidence Storage Share UNC path and click Save.

You can find your license keys on the Software Manager page.

If you don't have a license key, use the 90-day evaluation key S4RT-W38E-GH25A-98FE-26Y5.

Deploy the McAfee DLP Discover server package

Task1 In McAfee ePO, click the Menu icon in the upper left corner and select Product Deployment.

2 Click New Deployment.

3 On the Product Deployment page, do the following:

a Type the name of the deployment task: Deploy DLP Discover Server.

b Select the type: Continuous or Fixed.

c Select the package from the drop-down list: McAfee DLP Discover Server 11.x.x

d Click Select Systems and choose the system to deploy.

4 In the System Tree, select the system to deploy to and click OK.

5 On the Product Deployment page, click Save.

6 Track the progress of the deployment.

Validating the DLP Discover server is up and running

Task1 In McAfee ePO, click System Tree.

2 Select the McAfee DLP Discover Server system.

3 Select the Products Tab. Look for DLP Discover Server and check the Status.

4 In McAfee ePO, click the menu icon, then select DLP Discover (under Data Protection).

5 Click the Discover Servers tab and look for your servers.

If you don't find the servers listed, click Actions | Detect Servers.
