I am a studio manager in the advertising and marketing industry. In addition to being a skilled administrator, negotiator, supervisor, and production manager possessing an excellent supplier network, I also have decades of experience in print pre-press, graphic design, art and creative direction.

This portfolio represents a small fraction of the total body of my work. It is a good representation, and it is current - most projects were completed in the last 3 years. Many of the projects are complex websites. My contribution was significant in planning, marketing strategy, testing and human resource management.

Interesting notes: The rebrand was initiated by myself. I coordinated with the creative staff and presented a new look that was an instant hit. We were looking for a design that transformed Faith Wilson from being a real estate agent to being a “big brand”. Nine months later Faith landed her first “luxury” listing.

In the years preceding 2010 I was a production manager for a number of prestigious clients through Harfield & Associates including Honda Dealers Associations from B.C. to Manitoba, Vancouver Giants, and World Police & Fire Games. On a monthly basis I managed the production and delivery of hundreds of ads delivered to dozens of national and regional newspapers; Quarterly scores of POP material was delivered to every Honda dealer in western Canada; Signage, posters, and newspaper ads for the Vancouver Giants on tight deadlines; Signage and posters for World Police & Fire Games, an international event that Vancouver hosted in 2009 attracting about 10,000 athletes and another 20,000 participants.

About The Author

Daniel was born in Ontario, raised in Alberta, moved to B.C. in 1991 and currently resides in the West End with his wife, Karen.

He attended Royal Military College for engineering, however, following in the tradition of his family he became a graphic designer. Since that time he has progressed in his career until today he is studio manager at a advertising and marketing agency.

Daniel never lost his interest in science, he is an amateur physicist with interests in quantum mechanics and general relativity. Other interests include aerodynamics and mechanics. Daniel is a part owner of an airplane and is working towards his recreational pilots license.

In sports, Daniel enjoys baseball, hockey. However, most Thursday evenings you will find him fencing (the sport).
