First of all i appreciate you taking your time to take a glance at my porfolio.

I became interested in design when I was !nishing high school, my only contact with this world had been through artistic !elds.Since before I can remember, I have always loved painting and drawing. When I was young my mother used to give me a piece of paper and a pencil every time I was bored, in those moments time seemed to stop and I evaded the world around me.

In 2010 I went to Elisava design univer sity.I felt intensely absorbed by design. I met several designers (both profesionals and students) and learnt different skills. All of them helped in a particular way on my enthusiasm and professional growth.

As I progressed I wanted to specialize in something. I quickly understood that design is a multidisciplinary matter, and a profession in wich you never know enough. For this reason all my projects share tech-niques and create bridges from different ar-eas, for me, the top designers are those who know how to apply different aspects of life in multiple tasks. Sometimes things that seem far are very close.

This portfolio is the result of four years of pro-fessional and personal growth, on this pages there are hours of sweat and passion.I hope you like.

EXPLOSION OF SENSES

“All our knowledge comes from the sensa-tions and feelings” - Leonardo Da Vinci.

Client - PersonalYear - 2011

Explosion of senses is a personal project aimed to create an illustration with photo-manipulation tecniques.

I made just for learn some of combination with digital areas like 3D, and real complex images like liquids.

This project is intended to represent the ex-plosion of "avors in your mouth every time you open this drink. The feelings and the senses, where ment to make the poster as realistic as I could. The inspiration comes from very similar Jonas Eriksson work, this inspired me greatly.

TICTAC PROJECT

“Don’t count every hour in the day, make every hour in the day count.”

Client - PersonalYear - 2012

Tictac project is a concept design for a weather forecast application.

It shows graphically the climate location the user has previously selected. This provides an intuitive way for the user to know the weather with an illustration.

You can additionally deploy a panel with ac-curate data of temperature, precipitation, etc..

But Tictac is not just a weather forecasting application, it also works as a time machine because it allows the user to choose a spe-ci!c time in the past and compare with the actual weather in an intuitive way.

I wanted to make my project look like retro style, using synth textures from 80’s objects to give that speci!c look. The reason of this decision is because many of the movies talking of time machines belong to this period and I thought it was very suit-able for the application

GREEN & WHITEClient - PersonalYear - 2011

Green & White is a project to create a loft using CGI techniques.I made just for learn some of this techniques.

Basically I build on two colours, titanium white and pistachio green to decorate the loft, I used those colors to provide freshness and modernity without losing comfort.

All this combined with different wood tones and recognized furniture design.

It was my !rst approach to 3DStudio Max, and I really believe that the result is far from achievable with other software that you can get today. Especially in terms of materials and !nishes.

SIRENS TESSELLATION

“Only those who attempt the absurdity get-ting the imposible.” - M.C.Escher.

Client - PersonalYear - 2011

The Sirens poster is an allegory to the intrinsic sensuality of women. Given under the vision of sirens because in greek mythology was the living representation of female sensuality.

They hug, look, touch, the Sirens create in-!nite tessellation sensuality that captivates the viewer

My inspiration was Mr.Escher works, I work a lot with geometry to get a pattern that was not recognizable I blurred the boundaries of repetition so that every inch of the work is immersive to content.

DREWALL“I can’t remember which day I thought, I was going to change the world. All the creations in my mind, Are now be-coming so real.” - Drewall (Super Me).

Client - DrewallYear - 2012

Drewall is a rock band formed in Barcelona in 2012 by James Shadom and Jos Ethman, drewall was born with the idea of creating music and sharing it with the world.

To create the identity for the band, we started listening to all of the songs and remarked all the sensations and feelings that we felt. With handmade illustrations, warm colors and papery textures we can capture the es-sence of drewall’s music in the designs and get a grasp of its consistent identity.

On the other hand, we built an amazing and creative website for Drewall. On the website, you can download music, share it, !nd information, check out media stuff, etc.

Finally we built a point system to reward fan’s loyalty – the more involved with the band (i.e. attending concerts, buying merchandising, inviting others) the more prizes and experi-ences the fan can win.

YOROKOBU COVER“I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination. Imagination is more impor-tant than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.”- Albert Einstein

Client - Yorokobu ( contest )Year - 2012

I made this cover for Yorokobu Magazine contest. The concept I was to represent the creativity with a lettering. All capital letters of ”Yoroko-bu” was made with diferent materials and textures: wood, silver, grass, stone, gold, earth, tiles and water. The letters extruded from an opened maga-zine and grew to be wrote.

My intention was to re"ect the creative atrib-ute to Yorokobu magazine whileI show the multiple faces of that concept.

Client - LiceuYear - 2012

Created by Daniel Planas and Pol Bas this motion project born in ELISAVA

The piece explains in summary form the opera Tales of Hoffmann from J. Offenbach. We can see some of the scenes of the his-tory represented by animated illustrations. Our idea has not been literally explain the whole story, but we have focused on the details that we consider most important and we have extracted the essence to show the viewer a different view from the original.

Each scene attempts to show the feelings and experiences of the main character. The song “I Do” by Rob Costlow has been chosen according with the audiovisual piece to accentuate the melancholic and nostalgic character of the opera.
