Hi, I’m Dane!

I'm not your typical freelancer. I have no patience for corporate jargon, buzzwords or industry waffle. I write clean, concise copy that's easy to understand for readers and search engines alike.

I don't bid on work that I'm not excited about. Being freelance means that I can pick and choose the projects I can help the most with, and my fees are lower than an agency's too!

What I Do

First and foremost, I’m a writer. I have five books on the market (and

more coming soon), with an average rating of 7.5/10 from 100+ reviews

on Amazon and Goodreads.

I’m also a digital marketer, mainly specialising in blogging, social media

marketing, analytics and email marketing, and I love to write

words that get results – from email signups and data capture to leads,

sales and an overall ROI.

Book Blogging

I also run SocialBookshelves.com, an award-winning book blog. Ranked 5th in Vuelio’s list of the top 10 UK literature sites and 37th in Feedspot’s list of the top 100 book blogs on the planet, I use it to review every book that I read while hosting author interviews, guest posts and other promos.

I don’t run advertisements, but I do offer sponsored content with a backlink. Rates start at £20 for an author interview or guest post, and I can also write the content on your behalf for an additional fee.

What I Charge

My basic rate is £30/hour, but I can occasionally be flexible for larger projects or for work that I’m keen to do.

I get a lot done in an hour though, and so it often works out cheaper than using an agency or another freelancer. My typing speed often hits 125 words per minute. Test me sometime!

Blogging/copywriting:

- 5-700 word blog post: £30

- 1,500-2,000 word blog post: £75

- Wikipedia page creation: £100

- 1,000 words web copy: £50

From SocialBookshelves.com:

- Author interview: £20

- Guest post: £20

- Promo post: £30

Due to my experience in publishing (10+ years) and marketing (5+ years), I specialise in writing about those two particular topics. However, I’m also happy to work in other industries, as long as I’m passionate about them.
