Registrations: https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/cyber-safety-education-session-tickets-45714859375 SOCIAL DANCE PROGRAM It was great to see this popular program get underway once again in the undercover area. Students were enthusiastically involved and thoroughly enjoying their opportunity to learn some new dance moves. This program is a part of our Health and Physical Education curriculum and it is expected that all students will participate. BIKES SCOOTERS SKATEBOARDS A reminder to all students that bikes, scooters and skateboards are not to be ridden on school grounds for safety reasons. I have had parents report to me that some students are riding in a dangerous manner on the way home. I would strongly urge parents to discuss this with their child if they are riding to school. INTERSCHOOL SPORT Good luck to all students participating in the first round of fixtures tomorrow which will be held at Dalmain.

I would like to wish all mothers a very happy and enjoyable day on Sunday. Hopefully you get spoilt!

National Simultaneous Storytime Wednesday 23 May

National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS) is held annually by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA). Every year a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator, is read simultaneously in libraries, schools, pre-schools, childcare centres, family homes, bookshops and many other places around the country. Now in its 18th successful year, it is a colourful, vibrant, fun event that aims to promote the value of reading and literacy, using an Australian children's book that explores age-appropriate themes, and addresses key learning areas of the National Curriculum for Foundation to Year 6. By facilitating NSS we aim to:

promote the value of reading and literacy,

promote the value and fun of books,

promote an Australian writer and publisher,

promote storytime activities in public libraries and communities around the country

provide opportunities to involve parents, grandparents, the media and others to participate in and enjoy the occasion.
