1.0 SUMMARY AND INTRODUCTION
During the period of October 12 through to December 31, 1995, an exploration program
consisting of geological compilation, and diamond drilling was conducted on the Placer Option
(Oued) claim group. The geological compilation identified areas where addition stratigraphic
drilling could be completed. As part of the drilling strategy, a section of holes will be completed
from the south claim boundary to the north. This section was planned in a fashion such as to take
advantage of existing drilling completed by Oued Resources. The purpose of the section was to
gain better geological control across the property, and to identify favourable stratigraphy for
"Hemlo style" mineralization. One hole was drilled in October of 1995 towards completing the
section across the property.
Future work in 1996 will concentrate on completing the drill section, and locating
stratigraphy that contains favourable alteration.
2.0 LOCATION AND ACCESS (Figure 1)

4.0 PREVIOUS WORK
The following is a summary of previous work conducted on various or around the Placer
Option (Qued) property:
Mclntyre-Porcupine Mines, Von Klien option, 1962
Discovery of a number of copper-nickel and copper-lead-zinc occurrences west of the Placer
Option (Qued) property. Electromagnetic conductors and magnetic anomalies were tested with
28 diamond drill holes, but mineralization was weak and discontinuous with depth.
Figure 2. Claim Map of the Placer Dption (Oued) Property
Noranda Exploration Co. Ltd, 1976
Dotted Lake airborne survey completed over the area.
Pryme Energy (North), 1982
Work concentrated on the Mcintyre occurrence.
Oued Resources, 1983
Geological mapping, trenching and drilling was completed on the claim group. Emphasis was on
stratabound gold mineralization within iron rich interflow sedimentary sequences. Drilling
returned values of up to 0.025 oz/ton over 3 metres.
Norman Resources Limited, 1983
Geological mapping, soil geochemistry, airborne magnetics and VLF-EM covering an area
immediately southeast of the present claim block. Returned soil samples assay values were low,
with the highest sample returning 45 ppb. No major near surface concentrations of precious
metals were discovered.
Kelly-Kerr Energy Corp., 1986-1988
Geological mapping, stripping, soil geochemistry covered an area to the south of the present
claim group.
Noranda Exploration Co. Ltd, Newjay Property, 1987-1989
Humus geochemistry and geology filed covering a portion west of the current claim group. No
anomalous Au values were found in the 23 rock samples analysed. A weak Au humus anomaly
is reported to overlie a felsic-mafic contact.
Noranda Exploration Co. Ltd, Norman Resources Property, 1989
Geological report, plans, soil/rock geochemistry and assays filed for a claim block located south
of the present property. Several anomalous Au values were recorded from the soil survey
samples but the results were not considered encouraging enough to warrant further work.
Fowler/Shuman, Armand Lake Property, 1991
Property report covering prospecting and stripping on the adjoining property to the south.

east of the present claims.

Trenching and geological mapping of trenches 150E, 153E and 156E on the Fowler #1 property.
Hemlo Gold Mines Inc., 1995
Drilling of three stratigraphic holes on the North Limb Property. Moderate to strong sericitic
alteration was reported associated with the Musher Lake and Armand Lake Porphyry. Returned
gold values were less than 100 ppb.
Hemlo Gold Mines Inc., 1995
Drilling of 9 Holes on the Fowler #1 Property testing the alteration extent around the Musher
Lake Porphyry, Armand Lake Porphyry, and a feldspathic zone adjacent to the Lunny Lake
Porphyry Collected data included gold assays, whole rock chemistry, and trace element
chemistry. Anomalous gold values were reported associate with sedimentary stratigraphy
proximal to the feldspathic unit.
5.0 REGIONAL GEOLOGY (Figure 3)
The Placer Option (Oued) property is located within the North Limb region of the
Archean Schreiber-Hemlo greenstone belt that forms part of the Abitibi-Wawa-Shebandowan
Subprovince of the Superior Province. The area contains a dominantly south-east striking
sequence of metavolcanic and metasedimentary rocks bounded to the south by the Musher Lake
Granodiorite pluton.
Supracrustal rocks consist principally of basaltic flows and subordinate tuffs, with
intercalations of epiclastic arkosic wacke and siltstone. Interbeds of felsic volcanic tuffs and/or
volcaniclastic sediments occur locally. Numerous small elongate quartz-feldspar porphyry (QFP)
stocks intrude the sequence (e.g. Armand Lake, Musher Lake, and Lunny Lake Porphyry's).
Equigranular to porphyritic dikes and sills intrude the volcanics, sediments, and small QFP
stocks. See Figure 3 for general geology of North Limb (Fowler* 1) region.
6.0 GEOLOGICAL COMPILATION
Prior to the commencement of any new field work, previously collected exploration data,
including rock samples, soil samples, IP geophysical surveys, diamond drilling, trench mapping,
and geological field mapping by Oued Resources and Placer Dome was compiled and plotted on
a 1:5,000 base map (Map1).
As part of the exploration effort, the diamond drill core of Qued Resources was
recovered from the property, relocated to the Hemlo exploration core storage facility, and
subsequently re-logged.
The primary drill target for Qued Resources was a mineralized iron formation, although
the drilling also intersected quartz-feldspar porphyry units, such as the Armand Lake Porphyry,
and porphyritic sills to the north (See Map 1). Re-logging of the core determined that zones of
alteration were associated with the porphyry units. Alteration consists of quartz eye-sericite
schist, with limited molybdenite mineralization. This type of alteration is similar to Hemlo style
mineralization, suggesting potential for Hemlo style deposit on the property. The compiled
information and identification of Hemlo alteration was then used in planning the 1995 and 1996
diamond drilling program. The details of the drill program will be discussed in section 8.0

A total of 73 section of core were split and assayed for Au. Negligible results were returned except for sporadic anomalous sections. The highest recorded assay value was 96 ppb. over 1.0 metres.
The diamond drill hole logs and assay results for the hole are contained in Appendix l.
8.0 DISCUSSION
The geological compilation (Map 1) identified areas where addition stratigraphic drilling
could be completed. Q-95-1 was drilled in October of 1995 as part of a stratigraphic section
across the property. Two altered quartz feldspar porphyries were identified, one from 61.36 to
85.22 metres, and the second from 216.89 to 249.39 metres. Sericite-quartz eye-sillimanrte-
chlorite-gamet schist was the typical alteration assemblage associated with the porphyry from
61.36 to 85.22, whereas sericite stockworks and tourmaline alteration was associated with the
second porphyry from 216.89 to 249.39.
The remainder of the hole consists of mafic volcanics with intermittent iron formations
and local pyrrhotite-pyrite mineralization. No assay values of greater than 100 ppb were returned

9.0 CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS
The geological compilation, and diamond drilling on the Placer Option (Oued) indicates
that the property has excellent exploration potential.
The diamond drill program encountered significant alteration associated with the quartz
feldspar porphyries that will require further follow-up. The identified alteration is similar to
sericitic alteration proximal from the Hemlo deposit, suggesting that the area holds potential to
contain 'Hemlo Style" mineralization.
Future work should concentrate on the following:
Extending selected lines from the existing Fowler/North Limb grid for line control on the
Oued property.
Mapping of the extended lines in order to confirm previous mapping and identify any new
zones of sericitic alteration.
Complete the drill section on 10150E.
Drilling of any new targets that will be identified from the geological compilation, and
stratigraphic drilling.
