Extreme Team of CSE Department of Galgotia‟s College of Engineering and Technology, Greater

Noida organised its annual techno-cultural fest Daksh on 9-10th march 2018.

“Daksh” as the name itself signifies the pinnacle of achievement. We believe in celebrating excellence.

Daksh is being organised for the past 4 years with a myriad of events that highlight the various fields on

interest.

This year „Daksh‟ is gone back in time for “Reviving the 90s”. With a retro outlook we took up an array

of events.

To bring sanctity and spirituality, in the campus, a “Hawan” was organised at “DAKSH 2018” with

chants of mantras and ambient religiousness. The event was witnessed by many faculties and students of

Galgotia‟s Educational Institutions. With the notable presence of Dr. V. K Dwivedi, Director GCET,

Dr. Vishnu Sharma (President Extreme Team), HOD CSE & IT, Dr. Praveen Kumar Maduri (HOD IC),

Mr. Vinod Sharma (Registrar) and HODs of other departments were also present during the ceremony.

Mr. Lucknesh Kumar (Vice- President Extreme Team) was the main faculty co-ordinator of all activities

and events. Ms. Apoorvi Dwivedi (General Secretary-Extreme), Mr. Pulkit Singh (Secretary-Extreme)

& Mr. Arpit Jain (Secretary-Extreme) were the student co-ordinators.

Ms. Jasmine Bedi Khurana (Vice-President Fusion Club IT) has also contributed with valuable

suggestions and presence to various events.

Daksh this year created new standards for fun and educational activities, with great effort from the team

members and support of faculties. It was truly a pinnacle of success.

A one Stop celebration for technical, cultural, literary and sports events. The day witnessed an

auspicious opening with the “Hawan Pujan” ceremony followed by various events listed below:

Mock-Up App:

You don‟t have to be a genius or a visionary or even a college graduate to be successful. You just need a

framework, a dream and an idea to present. Mock-up App witnessed visionary technocrats presenting their

ideas.

Voice of Daksh:

Singing is a way of escaping. It‟s another world itself. Music directly hits our feelings & goes deep down

into the dark room of our souls. Voice of Daksh gave a platform to all the mesmerising voices to showcase

their singing talents.

show off their steps and to make the audience go crazy about it.

LITERARY EVENTS:

Literature is the most agreeable way to ignore life. The purpose of literature is to turn blood into ink. We

can destroy what we have written but we cannot unwrite it. Daksh would have been incomplete without its

literary events and these events provided the hub of literati freaks the required platform to express their

thoughts and creations.

Debate

Debate is a form of art in hurry. For good ideas and true innovation, we need human interaction,

conflict, argument and debate. This literary event organized by Daksh enabled the intellectuals to

exchange and critique thoughts, opinions and ideas on the topic
