The Content Management System allows for each country website to have individualized content; with their own bike range for their market, news, promotions and community feeds, and dealer locater. It is easy to implement and partners can setup their own page quickly, efficiently and cost effectively. CMS is simple to manage and requires no dedicated skills.

“Express Your Personality” was launched in 2011 to better express the individuality of DAHON and its range of bicycles. By identifying with a particular model, a consumer is expressing their own personality, identifying with the model and the brand, thus creating a closer link. The campaign’s characters represent different ethnicities, age groups and styles and have become the common brand association for DAHON. As a result of its success, “Express Your Personality” has been carried over into 2014 as our lead advertising campaign.

DAHON will work closely with its partners to tailor the campaign for their specific market needs. This will include creating advertising text that captures the country’s unique flavor, dialect and culture. DAHON will further support their partners through local PR efforts that tie into the company’s overall communications strategy.

Coldforged for strength and CNC tooled for minimum weight, its features include a stainless steel hinge pin and brass washers for long-term durability, even under harshest riding conditions.

V-Clamp technology is the strongest, most ingenious folding technology we’ve ever developed. Found on our higher-end frames, a solid stainless steel plate maximizes the surface area of the V-Clamp to secure the hinge in the closed position. 114 LOCKJAW HINGE

HYDROFORMING

The perfect hinge is strong, light and virtually invisible. With the LockJaw, we have come very close. Bikes equipped with the LockJaw Hinge look like regular bikes – you have to get up really close to see the difference. The LockJaw operates with a 6 mm Allen tool: a half turn opens the hinge; a half turn back locks it securely. With LockJaw, you get folding convenience in standard bike format.

Hydroforming technology shapes aluminum into strong, complex but lightweight shapes – ones that would be impossible with traditional forming techniques. In this process, an aluminum tube is placed into a negative mold. Hydraulic fluid is then forced at very high pressures into the mold, causing the aluminum to conform to the space. Hydroformed tubes typically have a higher strength to weight ratio because their thickness and shape can be precisely controlled and optimized.

The industry’s latest clever way to lose weight, and gain strength. An oversized 30 mm BB axle can be made from aluminum, reducing weight and increasing stiffness. Designed specifically for small-wheeled bikes, the Jifo Gear System features a customized 9 tooth sprocket and a small chain wheel to deliver a smooth and comfortable gear ratio. Made from alloy aluminum, the Jifo Gear System is exceptionally strong and delivers the perfect chain tension for small-wheeled bikes.

Like all good all-in-one helpers, this handy tool kit has everything you need to fix it in a pinch, including 4 and 5 mm hex tools for tightening and adjusting the bolts on your DAHON. The tool kit is easily accessible in the handlepost stem where it stores conveniently and invisibly – absolutely flat when folded.

COMPACT FRONT HUB

DAHON’s 451 mm wheelset raises the bar on compact wheel performance. Our larger diameter wheels are faster than standard folding bike wheels and lighter than full size wheels. This powerful combination gives a ride that is unparalleled in the folding bike market and bridges the gap between performance road bikes and folding convenience.

The bracing angle of the spokes changes when a rim is made smaller. When a standard 100 mm hub is laced into a 20" or 16" rim, it results in a weaker wheel. To remedy this, DAHON pioneered the compact Front Hub: optimized bracing angles are now stronger than comparable 26" wheels.

manufacturing limits.Wear items are defined as; Tires, Tubes, Brake pads, Brake and gear cables and housing, Chains, gears, grips, and saddles. All of these items are subject to varying wear life depending on use, load, weather, road conditions etc. Premature wear or “defect” will be taken into account in any warranty claim involving a wear item.

Exclusions:• All damage resulting from Commercial

use, accident, misuse, abuse, neglect, improper maintenance, or from anything other than normal and ordinary use of the bicycle.

• For all damage resulting from off road or stunt riding, multiple passengers, or cargo hauling.

• DAHON bicycles sold in mainland CHINA have a 5 year warranty and are non-transferrable outside of mainland China.

Making a Warranty Claim

You must register your DAHON bicycle online with our warranty department before any claim can be made. Your dealer can help you or provide you the DEALER CODE. Go to www.dahon.com/mainnav/dahon-support/register-your-dahon.html .Any bicycle not registered will not be covered by DAHON’s limited warranty.You should bring your DAHON bicycle to your original reseller if possible. If this is not possible, please consult our website www.dahon.com/mainnav/store-finder.html to find your nearest DAHON authorized resellerAll DAHON warranty claims must be made through an Authorized DAHON reseller. Proof of purchase, the complete bicycle, photos of the complete bicycle condition, serial number, and detail photos of the component in question must accompany all warranty claims. All shipping and transport costs are the responsibility of the bicycle owner. Labor costs beyond what your original reseller offers are the responsi-bility of the bicycle owner.All warranty claims are subject to assess-ment by DAHON. Warranty replacement will not be given for components not returned (if requested) to DAHON.

NOTE: This warranty does not affect the statutory rights of the consumer. Where applicable, local laws take precedent over this warranty contract.

Scheduled Maintenance

Proper care of your DAHON bicycle requires regular maintenance, inspection, and adjustment. New bicycles must be assembled and adjusted by an authorized DAHON reseller. Upon every ride DAHON bicycles should be inspected for properly tensioned fold-ing latches, free play, as well as changes in ride quality. Any change should be checked and adjusted before riding. If you are unsure about a function or use of your DAHON bicycle, return to your authorized DAHON reseller for instruction. This includes foldin g, unfolding, adjustment, shifting, and braking.3 months after purchase your DAHON bicycle must be returned to your original authorized DAHON reseller for inspection and adjustment.Yearly maintenance at bicycle owner’s expense is required. A warranty claim may not be considered without proper mainte-nance records.

DAHON Lifetime Warranty (excluding China)

We warrant our bicycle frames, handle posts and rigid forks for as long as the original purchaser owns the bicycle to be free of defects in materials and workman-ship. In addition we warrant all non-wear components for a period of one year. Certain individual component warranties and local law may supersede this warranty

policy.This warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of a defective frame, handle-post, fork or component, and is the sole remedy of the warranty. This warranty applies to the original retail purchaser of the bicycle and is non-transferable. This warranty only covers DAHON bicycles sold through authorized DAHON resellers, and maintained per the Scheduled Mainte-nance explained above.Your warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, abuse, stunt riding, commercial use, improper assembly or maintenance, installation of parts or accessories not origi-nally intended or compatible, installation of power systems such as engines or electric motors, damage due to accident, weather or neglect, or modification of the bicycle.A defect in material or workmanship is defined as; “A flaw, failure or cosmetic blem-ish caused by the manufacturing process or material that was not consistent with the original design”.
