L' insegnamento ha per oggetto lo studio del processo, delle responsabilità e degli strumenti del controllo digestione nelle aziende, con particolare attenzione alle imprese manifatturiere. Lo scopo del corso è quello difornire agli studenti la conoscenza e la capacità di comprensione circa i meccanismi di funzionamento di tale sistemadirezionale, utile per guidare e responsabilizzare i manager verso gli obiettivi di fondo della gestione, affiancate auna iniziale capacità di applicare questa conoscenza e comprensione a semplici casi pratici di studio. Il corsoconsente al laureato di acquisire le competenze necessarie ad un suo inserimento in azienda, dove attraverso lostudio e la comprensione di tutti i processi di business, potrà diventare una delle figura di riferimento per le attivitàdi controllo di gestione e supporto ai manager operativi nel loro processo decisionale. Il corso consente anche allaureato che si specializzerà in una qualche altra area del management di acquisire quelle competenze di base perattività di programmazione e monitoraggio del proprio operato in chiave economico-finanziaria.

The course aims to study the logic, the responsibility centres and the tools of the management control in theenterprises, with particular attention to the manufacturing ones. The purpose of the course is to provide studentswith the knowledge and understanding about the mechanisms of the managerial system, useful to guide andempower managers to the global objectives of the firm, side by side in an initial capacity to apply this knowledgeand understanding in simple practical case studies. The course enables graduates to acquire the necessary skills tohis joining the company, where through the study and understanding of all business processes, will become a figureof reference for the activities of management control and support to operational managers in their decision making.

The course also allows the graduate who will specialize in some other area of management to acquire the basicskills for programming and monitoring of its actions in key economic and financial.

Al termine del corso lo studente:
- Conoscerà e comprenderà le logiche del controllo di gestione inteso come processo direzionale, le sue aree diresponsabilità e i suoi strumenti tecnico-contabili.Tali conoscenze forniscono le basi per la comprensione delle logiche gestionali aziendali e per studi eapprofondimenti futuri;
- Saprà individuare idee originali in merito agli strumenti organizzativi, procedurali e tecnico-contabili adatti per lagestione aziendale, in ottica di miglioramento delle performances;
- Sarà in grado di analizzare criticamente le finalità e le soluzioni discusse nell'analisi dei case study;
- Sarà in grado di discutere in aula i case study proposti, sia individualmente, sia in gruppo, utilizzando un linguaggioappropriato;
- Sarà in grado di rielaborare le conoscenze acquisite, in particolare con l'analisi dei case study e la relativadiscussione.

At the end of the course student is expected to be capable of:
- knowing and understanding the logic of management control as a directional process and its mechanisms andtechnical – accounting tools;
- applying knowledge about the management control logic and tools to the planning, budgeting and reporting issues;
- making judgements to critically analyse the issue and selected solutions discussed in the business cases study;
- using communication skills to discuss in the classroom the business cases studied in the individual and team work,using appropriate supports;
- using learning skills to verify ongoing the learning degree of the managerial logic, also and in particular through thebusiness cases study and discussion.
MODALITA' DI INSEGNAMENTO

L' insegnamento si articola su 42 ore di didattica frontale (6CFU), che prevedono una forte componente interattivatra docente e studenti. Infatti, gli studenti che frequentano l'insegnamento sono chiamati ad iscriversi al corso e apartecipare alle attività di discussione delle esercitazioni aziendali proposte a lezione. Allo studente è inoltrerichiesto di provare a risolvere esercizi pratici con ore di studio a casa.

The course is articulated in 42 hours of formal and interactive in-class lecture, and in at least many hours of at-homework solving pratical exercises.
MODALITÀ DI VERIFICA DELL'APPRENDIMENTO

L'esame è scritto (durata circa 2 h) ed è costituito da:- 3/4 domande aperte, volte a valutare il "sapere" (conoscenza e comprensione) ed il "saper fare" (capacità diapplicare) acquisito dagli studenti. In particolare, per la valutazione del "sapere" verranno formulate alcunedomande volte a testare il livello di conoscenza dei contenuti acquisiti ("domande teoriche"), mentre per lavalutazione del "saper fare" verranno proposte agli studenti alcune domande relative ad analisi di casi eproblematiche organizzative reali, con un approccio prettamente qualitativo-descrittivo;- esercizi quantitativi, con i quali si misura la capacità dello studente di saper applicare le conoscenze acquisite allosviluppo di problematiche reali, misurabili da grandezze numeriche di natura economico-finanziaria, ma anchequantitativo-fisica.

The course grade is determined solely on the basis of a written examination. The examination (2 hours) is articulatedin two parts:
- 3/4 theoretical open questions, through which verify both the knowledge about concepts and results developed inthe course and the ability to use effectively the concepts and the result to solve simple case-study problems;
- some pratical and quantitative exercises, through which verify the ability of the students to apply technical financialand non financial tools to analytical business problems.

OBIETTIVI FORMATIVI
Learning Objectives
After a general orientation to economic sociology, the course program examines economic changes incontemporary capitalist societies, and the way in which social theorist have attempted to analyse them. It aims toset key issues within the sociology of economic life in the context of increasingly international social and economicarrangements.
RISULTATI DELL'APPRENDIMENTO ATTESI
Key competences
1) Knowledge and understanding ability.
To provide an introduction to:
- economic sociology (primary concepts, main approaches, key theories);
- sociological analysis of economy, economic processes and institutions; and the role of culture in the economiclife.
With these instruments the students can understand how economic activities and processes are both enabled bysocial relations and social institutions.
2) Capability to apply knowledge and understanding
To achieve substantial skills for the observation of economic processes with sociological imagination, joiningconceptual schemes, empirical aspects from research and personal experience.
3) Capability to approach the subject in a critical manner

To help students to search alternative accounts of phenomena that most specialists have explained only in terms ofeconomics.
4) Communication abilities
To allow students to describe the interdependence among economic, social, political and cultural factors.
5) Learning abilities
To give students the opportunity to figure out their own research interest.
MODALITA' DI INSEGNAMENTO
Teaching methods
The program will be run as a seminar. This means that each session will begin by a lecture. After that sudents areengaged in collaborative activities (as class-discussions, workgroups, short exercices...), in order to promoteindependent, critical and creative thinking skills and problem-solving competencies.
Every week, during the class a short assessment test will be offered. These exercises will be evaluated andcontribute to the final graduation. To get credit points for the final exam, students must do all the four assessmenttests (no exceptions!).
MODALITÀ DI VERIFICA DELL'APPRENDIMENTO
Exam
The final evaluation is based on a written exam on all course topics. The written exam is an in-class, closed-notesand closed-books test and consists of: fourty multiple choices, true or false, filling gap questions; and eight open-ended questions that will be answered in 5 rows (i.e. a definition or a short presentation of a really specific topic).Students have eighty minutes to answer.

L' insegnamento ha per oggetto lo studio del processo, delle responsabilità e degli strumenti del controllo digestione nelle aziende, con particolare attenzione alle imprese manifatturiere. Lo scopo del corso è quello difornire agli studenti la conoscenza e la capacità di comprensione circa i meccanismi di funzionamento di tale sistemadirezionale, utile per guidare e responsabilizzare i manager verso gli obiettivi di fondo della gestione, affiancate auna iniziale capacità di applicare questa conoscenza e comprensione a semplici casi pratici di studio. Il corsoconsente al laureato di acquisire le competenze necessarie ad un suo inserimento in azienda, dove attraverso lostudio e la comprensione di tutti i processi di business, potrà diventare una delle figura di riferimento per le attivitàdi controllo di gestione e supporto ai manager operativi nel loro processo decisionale. The course aims to study the logic, the responsibility centres and the tools of the management control in theenterprises, with particular attention to the manufacturing ones. The purpose of the course is to provide studentswith the knowledge and understanding about the mechanisms of the managerial system, useful to guide andempower managers to the global objectives of the firm, side by side in an initial capacity to apply this knowledgeand understanding in simple practical case studies. The course enables graduates to acquire the necessary skills tohis joining the company, where through the study and understanding of all business processes, will become a figureof reference for the activities of management control and support to operational managers in their decision making.

The course also allows the graduate who will specialize in some other area of management to acquire the basicskills for programming and monitoring of its actions in key economic and financial.

Al termine del corso lo studente:
- Conoscerà e comprenderà le logiche del controllo di gestione inteso come processo direzionale, le sue aree diresponsabilità e i suoi strumenti tecnico-contabili.Tali conoscenze forniscono le basi per la comprensione delle logiche gestionali aziendali e per studi eapprofondimenti futuri;

L'esame è scritto (durata circa 2 h) ed è costituito da:- 3/4 domande aperte, volte a valutare il "sapere" (conoscenza e comprensione) ed il "saper fare" (capacità diapplicare) acquisito dagli studenti. In particolare, per la valutazione del "sapere" verranno formulate alcunedomande volte a testare il livello di conoscenza dei contenuti acquisiti ("domande teoriche"), mentre per lavalutazione del "saper fare" verranno proposte agli studenti alcune domande relative ad analisi di casi eproblematiche organizzative reali, con un approccio prettamente qualitativo-descrittivo;- esercizi quantitativi, con i quali si misura la capacità dello studente di saper applicare le conoscenze acquisite allosviluppo di problematiche reali, misurabili da grandezze numeriche di natura economico-finanziaria, ma anchequantitativo-fisica.

The course grade is determined solely on the basis of a written examination. The examination (2 hours) is articulatedin two parts:
- 3/4 theoretical open questions, through which verify both the knowledge about concepts and results developed inthe course and the ability to use effectively the concepts and the result to solve simple case-study problems;
- some pratical and quantitative exercises, through which verify the ability of the students to apply technical financialand non financial tools to analytical business problems.

La tipologia degli esercizi comprende la trasformazione e il completamento di frasi,come pure la produzione libera, e fa riferimento alle attività proposte in tutte le unità del testo online Les douzetravaux de Studentix. Non è ammesso l'uso del dizionario; 2) una prova di comprensione testuale (1h30 - 15 punti), a partire da un testo di stampa economica francese, con unquestionario a risposta aperta. È ammesso l'uso del dizionario monolingue.
ORALE (previo superamento dello scritto con almeno 18/30)
La prova orale, valutato su 30 punti, consiste in: 1) un colloquio su un articolo di attualità consegnato al momento dell'orale

englishThe course aims at providing students with elements of Italian language such as to allow linguistic self-sufficiency ofB1 level, as required by CEFR. The economic-financial phraseology, vocabulary will be analyzed by reading of notsimplified texts and listening of short dialogues belonging to the mentioned field. Group activities will be carried outto deepen and internalize the terminology previously learnt. The reading activity will strongly prevail over thelistening one.

The area encompassing a label is regulated by law. For manufacturers, complying with these rules iscompulsory. For consumers, understanding them allows aware choices.

- describe the development of EU legislation on labelling, advertising and presentation of foodstuffs;
- describe the development of EU legislation on nutrition and health claims appearing on foodstuffs;
- list and describe mandatory information required by EU legislation on food information to consumers;
- illustrate the characteristics of some vertical rules on food labelling;
- illustrate the characteristics of some vertical rules on non-food labelling.

L'etichettatura dei prodotti (alimentari e non) è disciplinata da una specifica normativa. Gli operatoriprofessionali sono obbligati a rispettare la normativa prevista. I consumatori, conoscendola, possono effettuarescelte consapevoli.
Conoscenza e capacità di comprensione
- descrivere l'evoluzione della normativa unionale sull'etichettatura, la presentazione e la pubblicità degli alimenti;
- descrivere l'evoluzione della normativa unionale relativa indicazioni nutrizionali e sulla salute fornite sui prodottialimentari;
- elencare e descrivere le informazioni obbligatorie previste dalla normativa della Ue sulla fornitura di informazionisugli alimenti ai consumatori;

This subject examines the basis for, and practice of, social and environmental accounting in private sector. Situatedwithin the context of corporate responsibility, risk management and accountability toward primarily stakeholders,the subject covers the nature of social and environmental accounting, rationales and methods for making social andenvironmental disclosures, forms of social and environmental reporting, reporting frameworks and stakeholdersevaluation of risks corporate-associated.
This module examines the importance of social, environmental and sustainability issues to organisations and the riskassessment and analysis. This course explores through case studies business strategy in response to (andanticipation of) the threats and opportunities created by persistent problems of environmental and socialdegradation.
Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:

Students must select a firm that is practicing "voluntary‟ business environmental management/sustainability, collectrelevant information on the firm's programs, review the relevant literature that can help understand the firm'smotivations and challenges in conducting those programs, apply appropriate models and empirical methods (iffeasible) to the firms environmental and/or sustainability activities, and write the findings in a report paper.
Each group is required to present to the class the analysis.
In the final exam students will be asked to write a short essay proposing a solution to one selected business case,showing to have acquired knowledge of the current theories and guidelines about Sustainability Reporting and riskmanagement and to be able to apply them to a real case.

OBIETTIVI FORMATIVI
The Spanish Language Course is set on a three-level didactic programme, which leads from a Beginner Level to a levelof proficiency equal to Level B1/B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference (Independent User). The study ofSpanish for Business and Economy (español de los negocios) is introduced as of the second level.
Il corso di Lingua Spagnola è organizzato su un percorso didattico in tre livelli, che conduce da una conoscenza basicaal raggiungimento di una competenza linguistico-comunicativa pari al livello B1/B2 del Quadro Comune di Riferimentodel Consiglio d'Europa. A partire dal secondo livello, si introdurrà lo studio del lessico di micro-lingua (español de losnegocios).
RISULTATI DELL'APPRENDIMENTO ATTESI
At the end of the course the results will correspond to Level B1/B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference.As to say, students will be able to: understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularlyencountered in work, school, leisure, etc.; deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where thelanguage is spoken; produce simple connected text on topics which are familiar or of personal interest; briefly givereasons and explanations for opinions and plans.
Al termine del percorso si raggiunge il livello B1/B2 del Quadro di riferimento europeo (Autonomia): capacità dicomprendere le idee fondamentali di testi complessi su argomenti sia concreti sia astratti, comprese le discussionitecniche nel proprio settore di specializzazione.
MODALITA' DI INSEGNAMENTO
No compulsory attendance (even if advisable). During the third year there will be an institutional course aboutcommunication and intercultural competence all taught in Spanish. Even if it is not compulsory, students who decide tofollow the course are required to attend at least 75% of the lessons. The final exam is normally taken at the end of thethird level, unless you have a certified good level of language (D.E.L.E Diplomas).
Students who have already achieved an international linguistic certification in Spanish (from D.E.L.E. B2 on, not olderthan 3 years) will be exempted from a part of the final exam (ask to the office for details). Students are required topresent their certificate and a copy of it at the Spanish Office on the 5th floor of the School during office hours.
Il percorso dell'insegnamento non prevede obbligo di frequenza per le lezioni di grammatica e lessico (anche se siconsiglia una certa assiduità). Nel terzo anno si offre anche un corso monografico anch'esso non obbligatorio, per il

quale si richiede invece la presenza almeno al 75% delle lezioni a chi intende frequentarlo. L'esame ufficiale si puòaffrontare alla fine del percorso di apprendimento di tre livelli (tre annualità) oppure se si possiede un buon livello dipadronanza linguistica certificata (vedi tabella diplomi/esoneri a seguire).
Il possesso di certificazioni linguistiche internazionali (D.E.L.E. Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera) vienericonosciuto a partire dal certificato Intermedio (B2) e successivi conseguiti non più di tre anni prima della data dirilascio e consente esoneri parziali dell'esame finale. (vedi tabella) Gli studenti in possesso di tali certificazioniinternazionali valide devono presentare una copia della stessa presso la sezione di spagnolo al V piano della Scuola diManagement ed Economia.

MODALITÀ DI VERIFICA DELL'APPRENDIMENTO
The written exam is the same for all (attending and non-attending) students, and consists of three parts: 1) Grammar exercises
2) Writing a brief essay
3) Translation (English to Spanish only on request, otherwise Italian to Spanish) of a text from actual documents.
All parts are held on the same day, and – except the first one - can be carried out with a bilingual dictionary.
You are admitted to the oral exam only if you reach the minimum score of 18 points out of 30. The oral test takes placea few days after the written test and is evaluated in the same way (the final mark is given by the average of the twoassessments). This date is communicated on the day of the written exam (and published on Moodle in the SpanishLanguage page).
For the oral test you have to present an article from the Spanish or Latin-American press about economy or finance,and read and discuss ONE the following books:

If you have attended the specialized course for 3rd year students with positive assessment , you only have to presentand discuss an article from the Spanish or Latin-American press about economy or finance.
La prova scritta dell'esame è uguale per tutti gli studenti, frequentanti e non frequentanti, e consta di tre parti:
1) verifica di grammatica
2) redazione di un piccolo testo in spagnolo in risposta ad una domanda-traccia di tipo generale
3) traduzione (dall'italiano allo spagnolo) di un frammento di testo tratto e adattato da documenti reali di tipo socio-economico
Entrambe le parti, che si svolgono nello stesso giorno, possono essere affrontate con dizionario bilingue italiano-spagnolo. Alla prova orale, da sostenersi tassativamente NELLO STESSO APPELLO della prova scritta, si è ammessisolo se si raggiunge il punteggio minimo complessivo di 18 punti sui 30 disponibili. LA PROVA ORALE HA LUOGO QUALCHEGIORNO DOPO LA PROVA SCRITTA. Tale data è comunicata il giorno dello scritto e poi pubblicata su Moodle (sullapagina di Lingua Spagnola triennale).
La prova orale si svolge con le seguenti modalità:
a) gli studenti che hanno frequentato il corso monografico di riferimento e hanno ottenuto una valutazione positiva daparte del docente presentano all'orale un articolo di media lunghezza tratto dalla stampa ispanica e di tipoeconomico;
b) gli studenti che NON hanno frequentato il corso monografico di riferimento presentano all'orale un articolo di medialunghezza tratto dalla stampa ispanica e di tipo economico e UNO tra i seguenti testi:

PROGRAMMA
1st level is characterized by the following objectives: achievement of good pronunciation, basic lexical andmorphosyntactic abilities, basic written and oral communicative competence.
2nd level is based mainly on the study of real documents and actual sources, as well as on the use of audiovisualmedia. It foresees the improvement of lexical competence in the specialist language of business and finance also fortranslation of specific texts.
3rd level includes also a specialized course on Spanish in communication processes: an international language and asocial and political instrument. Grammar and lexical activities are dedicated to the study of specific structures andmain features of peninsular Spanish and some variables of Latin American Spanish: phonetics, vocabulary, grammarand cultural aspects. This study is carried out with specific exercises for the production of real documents, such asreports, curricula, formal and informal emails and letters. Special attention is given to oral production for every day

and business communication in different cultural contexts. Simulation patterns are practised for activities such asreporting, planning, negotiating, etc.
Il programma del 1º livello è caratterizzato dai seguenti obiettivi: corretta impostazione fonetica, conoscenza lessicalee delle strutture morfosintattiche di base, competenza comunicativa scritta e orale.
Il programma del 2º livello si basa prevalentemente sull'utilizzazione di documenti autentici, di strumenti audiovisivi einformatici. Prevede l'ampliamento della conoscenza lessicale rivolta soprattutto al linguaggio specialistico, settoresocio-economico e finanziario, perfezionamento delle strutture morfosintattiche, avviamento alle difficoltà ditraduzione di materiale a carattere specialistico.
Il programma del 3º livello prevede, oltre alle esercitazioni linguistiche, un corso ufficiale: El español en los procesoscomunicativos: idioma internacional e instrumento político-económico (docente: Elena Malaffo). Le lezioni di linguamirano a perfezionare le strutture specifiche e le principali caratteristiche dello spagnolo peninsulare e le principalivarianti americane: aspetti fonetici, lessicali, morfosintattici e culturali. Si introducono esercizi atti a sviluppare lacapacità di produrre documenti autentici quali: brevi relazioni; curriculum vitae; email formali ed informali; lettereformali e informali. Particolare spazio verrà dato alle abilità orali con precisa attenzione a espressioni del quotidiano edel mondo del lavoro, contestualizzate nelle diverse realtà geo-culturali. Verranno esercitati modelli di simulazione(relazionare, pianificare, argomentare, convincere, decidere, ecc.)
