A new standard governing the colour coding oftransportable gas cylinders is coming intoforce across Europe. The new standard,EN1089-3, will ensure consistency of colourcoding, helping to improve safety standardsacross the industry.
Air Products have many hundreds ofthousands of cylinders in the UK, and therepainting exercise will take a number of yearsto complete, therefore, you may have cylindersdelivered bearing both the old and newcolours. The cylinder label, details of which aregiven in this leaflet, will be vital tounderstanding the product contained.
Please ensure that this information is madeavailable to anyone in your organisation whohandles or uses industrial gas cylinders.
