The new standard, EN1089-3, will ensure consistency of colour coding, helping to improve safety standards across the industry. Air Products have many hundreds of thousands of cylinders in the UK, and the repainting exercise will take a number of years to complete, therefore, you may have cylinders delivered bearing both the old and new colours. The cylinder label, details of which are given in this leaflet, will be vital to understanding the product contained.
