Performance, Integrity, Style

The structural nature of the BEMO-Roof gives the designer the opportunity to reduce project costs by minimizing steel requirements and in many cases completely eliminate the need for metal deck. With a seam height of 65 mm (2-9/16") and standard width offerings of 305 mm (12"), 400 mm (15-3/4") and 500 mm (19-3/4"), the BEMO-Roof panels can be tailored to fit almost any architectural design. The system offers a completely weather-tight roof with a life expectancy far exceeding conventional roofing applications.

Specialty Stainless Steel and 330' Long Curved Panels

3,300,000 sf (307,000 m2) of continuous length, serpentine curved 22 ga. (.8 mm) stainless steel BEMO 400 mm panels cover the Hamad International Airport. BEMO worked with HOK to design the specialty application for this complex roofing design and engineered a full system that will provide decades of protection in a very corrosive environment.

BEMO Custom Shapes and Curves

Extreme Flexibility

Convex, concave or even “S” curves can be easily and efficiently accommodated by the BEMO-Roof System. The BEMO-Roof panels can be curved by means of a specially developed rolling mill that can curve the BEMO panels smoothly to a radius as tight as 10' (3.01 m) or less, depending on the profile and material used.

BEMO-Roof panels can be manufactured using many different metal substrates. The most common is PVDF-coated or mill-finished aluminum. BEMO offers many standard PVDF 500 finishes, represented in our BEMO color collection brochure, which can easily be applied to aluminum, G-90 galvanized, Galvalume and Zincalume.

Tapered and Custom-Width Panels

Tapered (pie-shaped) and custom-width panels are efficiently and economically manufactured with one of the world’s first tapered-rolling mills for structural standing seam panels. This technology can provide tapered and custom-width roll-formed panels in continuous uninterrupted lengths of hundreds of feet.

Unique Applications Bemo USA’s extensive metalworking experience has been used to produce some of the most unique and beautiful custom metal applications in today’s market. Through in-house teams, Bemo USA successfully designs, engineers, tests, fabricates and offers installation management on projects like the M Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada, and the University of Santa Cruz Engineering Building in California. The performance characteristics of each project are used to develop systems that meet and exceed the architect’s and owner’s expectations.

Metal and finish selection is always critical to any architectural design, and Bemo USA offers our expertise in the appropriate uses of natural, unpainted materials like copper and zinc, as well as custom-finished applications ranging from specialty stainless steel to multi-coated PVDF painted systems. Each metal and finish possesses unique characteristics that can be effectively incorporated into most designs. BEMO Environmentally Responsive

The BEMO Panel System can be offered in materials that are 100% recyclable.

Coating systems that offer Solar Reflective Indexes that count toward LEEDS 2.2 (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) credits. Reducing the heat island effect by high reflectivity and emissivity is one of the ways BEMO supports Green Buildings.

Coatings provide Solar Reflective Index (SRI) values of up to 85.

Field Forming panels count toward LEED MR 5.2 credit for manufacturing within 500 miles of the project location.

It is possible to use specific mills that manufacture metal coils that utilize up to 95% post-industrial recycled content. Recycled content in materials counts toward credit earned under MR 2.1.

BEMO Mobile Factory Mills ensure the highest quality materials are produced on-site while reducing the environmental impact of crating materials and carbon emissions through fewer truckloads.

BEMO puts a great deal of thought into ensuring that buildings require as little energy as possible – by designing and deploying innovative systems and solutions.

The BEMO Thermal Halter, a pultruded glass-reinforced halter, is produced using engineered glass mesh and non-conductive resins. These specialty halters prevent thermal transfer between the roof and the building interior.

BEMO-Akkord Rails are specially designed to create continuous surfaces that are ideal for the rapid and reliable installation of photo-voltaic and solar thermal systems. For the ultimate eco-friendly material, BEMO uses aluminum that’s 100 percent recyclable.

The BEMO-FLON coating is exceptionally robust and durable. It requires less frequent cleaning, reducing the need for detergents and similar products. All this and more make BEMO’s cladding solutions an environmentally friendly and sustainable choice.

These Mobile Factory Mills have their own power, coil tippers, decoilers, in-line cooling, post roll-form profile shears, in-line slitters (tapering and MONRO Mills) and sealant injection systems. Providing factory quality panels in lengths that can exceed 500' (152 m) allows virtually any facility to be covered without using leak-prone end-laps. All of the BEMO roll forming, tapering, BEMO-MONRO and curving mills are operated exclusively by BEMO’s own highly trained technicians.

BEMO Durability and Performance

High-Performance BEMO System – Performance is Paramount with This System

Bemo USA has taken the most stringent testing world-wide, and engineered roofing assemblies that meet and exceed even the most challenging environments.

Hurricane & Typhoon Areas – BEMO has hundreds of installations along the United States Gulf Coast region, Florida and the Caribbean, as well as a South Pacific installation at the Saipan International Airport. Projects in these areas have withstood multiple hurricanes, including 155 mph (249 kph) typhoon winds in Saipan, without a single system failure. In

order to responsibly design, engineer and install a system that can meet this kind of performance, BEMO has invested heavily in receiving certifications for Heavy Missile Impact, Full Submersion, FEMA approval for use on Emergency Operations Facilities, and for full use in High-Velocity Hurricane Zones (HVHZ-219.6 psf rated).

Temperature and corrosion are a volatile combination, and yet that is exactly what Bemo USA had to work with at the Hamad International Airport project in Doha, Qatar. With summer temperatures exceeding 122° F (50° C), high humidity and high salt content, this project demanded the highest performance in wind, sand abrasion, air infiltration and corrosion in the more than 3.3 million sf (310,000 m²) of roofing area. BEMO, in conjunction with metallurgical specialists, developed an architectural stainless steel panel system that is able to stand up to the

extreme temperatures and corrosion, as well as meet all the other performance criteria. In addition, the self-adhering membrane had to perform during extended periods of exposure and construction traffic. The solution was BEMO-Xtreme HT, which had been exposed in some cases for over 180 days without system degradation.

Bemo USA designs, engineers and tests each component and detail treatment that go into every system to ensure exceptional performance. From the industries’ only zero-wear hook-clip system to the BEMO high-temperature self-adhering 40 mil (1.0 mm) underlayment, BEMO does not compromise or take shortcuts on any aspect of a roof assembly. Low-maintenance detail treatments provide owners with years of low life-cycle cost roof installations.

Bemo USA is the only structural standing seam manufacturer to offer field welding services to its customers for curbs, penetrations, gutters, expansion joints, etc. Additionally, each standing seam is continuously locked together on-site with a mechanical seamer to ensure a high-performance roof system that maintains its architectural appeal.

Also, Bemo USA is the only manufacturer to offer field installation services for non-penetrating life-safety systems as well as labor saving systems such as profiled pan end and single stage hand crimper tools. BEMO-Xtreme HT

BEMO-Xtreme HT is a 40 mil (1.0 mm) thick, self-adhering membrane composed of elastomeric bitumen and a woven polyethylene complex. This nonslip, flexible, self-sealing membrane can be used in outdoor temperatures ranging from 0˚ F to 250˚ F (-17˚ C to 121˚ C). It has an easy to remove silicone treated release sheet (split back) on the self-adhesive side.

BEMO-MONRO®: The Highest Standards of Design and Quality

BEMO-MONRO clads buildings of all shapes and sizes with flexibility and precision.

BEMO employs state-of-the-art 3D design technology and proprietary file-to-factory software to determine the shape of each BEMO-MONRO panel. For highly demanding projects, it is possible to custom-manufacture every single panel to ensure precise alignment with the building contours.

The BEMO-MONRO system includes BEMO-DOME, a modular substructure that can be adjusted in three dimensions. The substructure precisely follows the building’s contours, and accommodates tolerance in the as-built load-bearing structure. It enables exact positioning of the halters, and can be installed quickly and efficiently.

The panels are cut to size and rolled in a single operation. The rollers are mounted on individually controlled stations, allowing the creation of free-form panels with concave and convex segments with extremely large and extremely small radii, and widths between 3.93" (100 mm) and 39.37" (1,000 mm). It is also possible to produce panels in lengths over 393' (100 m).

The number and direction of the central ribs can be varied in line with your project needs – ensuring clean lines no matter the building shape. Once the panels have been rolled, they can be curved to create concave and convex forms. Our specialized equipment is capable of curving very small radii. Our exclusive BEMO Mobile Factory Mills can be shipped anywhere in the world.

This makes it possible to create roofs and walls with an exceptionally attractive appearance – without additional material stress.

The precise position and height of the halters are determined using a 3D survey of the as-built structure. The coordinates of the halters are projected onto the building and clearly marked. The contractor also receives a model depicting the positions of the halters and all information necessary for easy installation. No special tools are required.
