“UR” Always Learning Lecture:

Presidential Politics 2016: The Madding Crowd

Monday, December 7th 4:00pm

Fifteen men and women have declared for the Republican nomination for President and an

untold number of Democratic candidates have or may declare. Curt Smith, a frequent speaker

at The Highlands at Pittsford, will look at the candidates – long-time, first-time, the relevant

and irrelevant. He will look at their performance and potential, how they have fared in the

televised debates, and what lies ahead. Curt Smith wrote more speeches than anyone for

former President George H.W. Bush, is the author of 16 books, and is Senior Lecturer of

English at the University of Rochester.
