Practice based modules – Cultural Production & Creative technologies.
Work placements.
There is an opportunity to put theory into practice throughout the course and in particular with the practical cultural production elective choices in the 2nd and 3rd years.
There is also an opportunity to undertake a work placement in the 2nd year.
The practical aspects of the course
Creative projects
•Practical component of the course are central to the course.
These include: •Networking and Work placements to help with developing employment prospects
•Developing your creative portfolios through your own practical projects
•These projects can include exhibitions, interactive media, web design, short films, music production, event production
The teaching team
The practical modules are taught by academics who have appropriate professional backgrounds and research interests.
For example the background of the tutors who lead these modules are primarily in live music event production, tour management, sound engineering, artiste management and film production.

• Undertake creative event and production design
• Believe in the importance of sustainability in the development of creative enterprises and projects
Work placements?
• Placements on this programme are available to you if you choose the relevant 2nd year elective. All the work placements are managed centrally by departmental staff who are available to help you to find a suitable work placement.

• Within the course there are opportunities for work placements and also for developing your ideas into businesses.
