Today we are going to combine outside learning with English. Have you ever looked up at the clouds and seen an elephant? Or a kangaroo wearing a cowboy hat?Listen to this song and try to visualise what the characters are singing about.https://www.literacyshed.com/the-music-shed.htmlSnoopy Cloud SongWhen you are outside, look up at the sky and watch. Be patient. What can you see? Wispy white clouds dotting the vivid blue sky or great, icy mountains gliding through the grey?Write down what you can see. Is there a story unfurling? Descriptions and figurative language

Wispy white clouds dotted the vivid blue sky. Clouds of fluffy cotton balls drifted slowly cross the …… Beams of light tinted the clouds with blazing colours of … Great, icy-grey mountains swept across the horizon. The sky was as grey as thunder and grim with the menace

of rain. Dense, black rain clouds blocked the warm rays from the

disappearing sun. The clouds had swollen to an ominous black, rushing

across the landscape like a tsunami threatening to drown all in their stormy embrace.

The mist rose to spread its tendrils … An icy breath descended from the heavens. Layers of pregnant clouds clung to the hillside. A steady downpour of tears.
