Crystal Clear Software Ltd. has been registered as a limited company in Uganda on 23
March 1998. Daily operations started as of 1st of August 1998.
Purpose of the company
Crystal Clear Software's mission is to deliver high quality, user friendly and tailor made
business software for her microfinance clients.
Our Business
Crystal Clear Software Ltd was established in 1998 and is an ISO 9001:2008 Certified
company for Quality Management Systems. Crystal Clear Software is the developer of
Loan Performer, the Number One software for the micro-finance industry. Our mission
is to provide the Microfinance industry with a management information system that is
rich in features, user-friendly, and affordable. With this we hope to make the
Microfinance industry more efficient and – indirectly – we hope to contribute to poverty
alleviation.
Our business areas are tree fold:
- We sell Loan Performer licenses to the microfinance industry- We implement our
software and make sure it runs according to our client’s specifications
- We support our clients with issues they have and we develop new features
- We work with a network of some 15 country representatives who assist with training
and implementation
Loan Performer is a brand name in the microfinance industry. It is a first-class
Management Information System used by some 400 micro-finance institutions in 50
different countries all over the world. The users are Savings and Credit Cooperatives,
Credit Unions, Rural Banks, Money Lenders and other Financial institutions. Loan
Performer can handle individual clients, groups and group members and SMEs. It is
user-friendly and easy-to-learn. It integrates basic client data with shares, savings, time-
deposits, loans. It has a general ledger with purchases, assets, debtors and creditors. All
transactions are automatically booked. It has advanced features such as SMS banking,
fingerprint scanning, wide-area networking, poverty assessment. It is multi-currency and
multi-language, it can be installed as a standalone application, on a local area network or
in a wide-area network.
Crystal Clear Software Ltd makes sure its clients are satisfied with Loan Performer. It
does this by implementing Loan Performer, training its clients and providing excellent
online support.
Our major clients are K-Rep Fehda in Kenya with 42 FSAs where Loan Performer is
running, Buussaa Gonofa in Ethiopia with 30 branches and SIDO in Tanzania with 22
branches where Loan Performer is used.
Some of the Major clients in Uganda are FSN, Mengo teachers Sacco, Bridge Credit
Finance, UNBS staff Sacco, US Embassy staff Sacco, Eclof, Five Talent etc.

• Isaac Malagala, Sector Specialist Finance and Administration, more than 15
years experience, is CEO/General Manager of Uganda Tree Resources Limited,
Uganda worked with International University of East Africa as a Lecturer, was a
Member of the Board of Governors Merryland High Schools and is the MD for
RCS Consult.
• Esther Nakamatte Mbaziira has a Masters in Business Administration (Finance
and Accounting) and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). She worked in
different capacities at Uganda Women Finance Trust, then served the Uganda
National NGO forum for 3 years as the Finance and Administration Manager and
now works as the General Manager at Five Talents, a microfinance institution.
• Waibale Simon Calvin Slack, Sector Specialist IT, 14 years experience, is the
country ICT Manager for UAP Holdings/UAP Insurance, was Head Information
Systems at Uganda Securities Exchange (the stock market).

- Development of regulatory reports for the Central Bank of Madagascar, the Ministry
of Finance and Budgets and the Credit Reference Bureau (‘Centrale de risques’, Nov
2016-Mar 2017) for 56,127 USD with support from Agepasef (Worldbank).
- Centralization of 6 branch databases of Mutuelle de Mandrare and 4 branch
databases of Vola Mahasoa in Madagascar and exposing them on a web server
(Oct/Nov 2016) for 52,199 USD with support from Agepasef (Worldbank).
- Database Conversion and harmonization of 22 branches of SIDO Tanzania for
28,576 USD, Sep 2016.
- Implementation of Loan Performer for 31 (additional) FSA’s in 2013 for K-Rep
Fehda Services in Kenya (bringing the total number of supported FSAs to 51) in
Kenya for a total contract price of 45,312 USD.
- Implementation of Loan Performer for 43 Saccos in 2012-2013, Rural Financial
Services Program, Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development in
Uganda for a total contract price of 299,650,000 UGX (121,070 USD).
