§ LinkedIn is a great resource for students to connect with employers and showcase their relevant skills and accomplishments. Students can now post projects as well that demonstrate their knowledge. § Employers will often post internship and employment opportunities on LinkedIn; according to LinkedIn, 9 out of 10 employers will use LinkedIn to recruit new hires. § LinkedIn for Higher Education Professionals provides students with several tip sheets / videos to develop a successfuO Profile. § If you are interested in having your students learn more about LinkedIn and additional networking strategies, schedule our one hour “Marketing Yourself Online” workshop on the CREW website. CREW CONNECTIONS CR § Students can submit their resume to our resume dropbox and receive feedback from a counselor within 48 business hours. § In 2015, more faculty/staff began referring students to utilize this service, and we want to continue to grow in 2016. § If you are assigning a resume, offering extra credit for completion of a career related activity, or talking to students who need to revise their resume, then encourage them to submit their resumes to us.
