Nature Play Australia together with Australian Primary Principals Association would like to invite your school to participate in Outdoor Classroom Day.

Outdoor Classroom Day is a global campaign to celebrate and inspire outdoor learning and play. On Thursday, 7 September thousands of schools around the world will take lessons outside and prioritise playtime.

Outdoor learning improves children’s health, engages them with learning and leads to a greater connection with nature. Play not only teaches critical life skills such as problem-solving, teamwork and creativity, but is central to children’s enjoyment of childhood.

The Matific Games have begun and are running until Wednesday, 13 September. Matific is an online Mathematics site that takes your child through a journey of

maths discovery, allowing them to cover the entire school curriculum at their own pace. Teachers can assign work or children can move around freely earning rewards as they learn. All you need to do is use your child's login and play. If they don't remember, ask your child's teacher. The more stars they collect the higher their chances of winning. CSPS is also giving away prizes to the highest scoring student in each year level. So login at www.matific.com/matificgames and get playing.

The 5 Cent Challenge has begun for the last

time this year.

Remember to bring in

your 5 cent coins and put them in your classes piggy banks.

The class that raises the most money gets a special prize at

the end of the competition and all money goes towards the

school.
