The RACGP cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) course for general practitioners (GPs), run in conjunction with Medical Training Solutions, provides participants with topical emergency presentations and recent changes in emergency practice. Additional topics are flexible to meet the needs of participants. This course is presented in accordance with the current guidelines of the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and covers all aspects of resuscitation and basic life support. Participants train on resuscitation mannequins and demonstrate competency in CPR. All participants will also be trained in mouth-to-mask resuscitation technique. Infant, child and adult mannequins are supplied for training. Demonstrations and hands on practice with Automated External Defibrillation (AED) is also included during training. Participants will earn 5 Category 2 QI&CPD points per session and fulfil their CPR requirements for the 2017–19 triennium. The RACGP cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) course for general practitioners (GPs), run in conjunction with Medical Training Solutions, provides participants with topical emergency presentations and recent changes in emergency practice. Additional topics are flexible to meet the needs of participants.
