CPPP NEWSLETTER

Central Public Procurement Portal (CPPP) of Government of India is operational since 2012. It

provides a single point access to all the tendering information on various procurements made across all

central government organizations in the country. It facilitates :

• ePublishing – Publishing of tender enquiries, corrigendum & award of contract details.

• XML – Facilitates publishing of tender comprehensive information of other eProcurement system

• eProcurement facilitated through – GePNIC© implemented in 450 Central Government Ministries/

Departments and Public Sector Units, it is also being rolled out across India in 28 State Govts /UTs.

Single Tender Enquiry - Procurement from a single source:

• It is in the knowledge of the user department that only aparticular firm is the manufacturer of the required goods.

• In a case of emergency, the required goods are necessarilyto be purchased from a particular source and the reason forsuch decision is to be recorded and approval of competentauthority obtained.

• For standardisation of machinery or spare parts to becompatible to the existing sets of equipment (on the adviceof a competent technical expert and approved by thecompetent authority), the required item is to be purchasedonly from a selected firm

Tender cum Auction of Liquor Shops by Excise Department,

Excise Department, Govt. of Madhya Pradesh held around 200 Tender cum

Auction for disposal of Liquor Shops across state during 18th March to 31st

March. The entire auction process ended in five rounds. Department has

achieved revenue of Rs 8,513 Crore which was higher over last years earnings.

Overwhelming participation from Bidders was noticed. Highest bid received

from one of the groups in Narsighpur District 167% more than the last year

annual value. Principal Secretary, Commercial Taxes and New & Renewable

Energy Department, Govt. of Madhya Pradesh has appreciated the contribution

of NIC team for conducting entire exercise of Tender cum Auction of Liquor

Shops and its successful execution.
