    Lamosa Green Facts

Lamosa products are the best ceramics option when you construct sustainably. They make a real contribution to your LEED certification at the same time they comply to Mexican code. SUSTAINABLE SITES

LEED Credit SS 7.1 and 7.2. Heat Island Effect. When you choose our light-toned products for exteriors you are helping reduce the Heat Island effect, an undesirable by-product of using absorbent materials that elevate ambient temperature and increase the energy needed to climatize structures.

    MATERIALS AND RESOURCES

LEED Credit MR 5 Regional Materials. Our plants geographical location throughout Mexico allows most of our products to be available within 800 km of the locations where clients need them, reducing transportation-related pollution and spurring local economies.

LEED Crdito MR 1.2 Re-uso de la ConLEED Credit MR 1.2 Construction Reuse. Given their durability, the reuse of ceramic wall tiles, floors and roofs during structure renovations can greatly contribute to earning this credit.

LEED Credit MR 3 Materials reuse. Lamosa products can be recovered and relocated in new installations, for different uses, e.g., decorative, mosaic-style patios and plazas.

    INDOOR ENVIRONMENTALQUALITY

LEED Credit IEQ 4.3. Low-emissions materials. Lamosa ceramic tiles are constructed of inert materials that do not emit volatile and toxic organic compounds. Once installed, products can be utilized immediatelynoventilation periods required.

    ENERGY AND ATMOSPHERE

LEED pre-requisite 2 Energy Performance. Due to their isolating and/or low-heat-conductivity, our wall tiles help reduce overall structure energy consumption.

Ceramic tiles contribute to fulfilling Mexicos NMX-C-460-ONNCCE-2009 thermic isolators standard for buildings, a requirement for INFONAVITs Green Mortgage.

    Sustainable Building ThroughLEED Certification

The objective of Lamosas Green Matters Initiative is to transform our business into a low-carbon-emissions operating system capable of measuring and reducing our processes environmental impact.

Green Matter focuses on the development of products and services that help our clients as they initiate their own sustainable construction projects.

PORCELAINElegance and durability have never come more

hand in hand. We gathered the best materials in a collection destined to last forever, in the most

precious manner. Our porcelain pieces are built for strength and designed for life.

Porcelain tile, as defined by PTCA, is a ceramic tile with a very low water absorption (0.5% or less),

    as tested per ASTM C373.

Having certified tile helps end the confusion caused by tiles being misrepresented as porcelain and provides an assurance to the consumer that

the tiles they purchase are truly porelain.
