We would like thank our students, parents and special guests for their support of our school presentation day this morning. We would like to congratulate all award winners and we must also congratulate Lachlan for winning the prestigious Dux award for our school this year. Good luck to our departing year six students and we wish you all the best for your adventures at high school. We wish everyone a relaxing and happy holiday season and we look forward to seeing everyone next year, happy and healthy. Mufti Clothes and Last Days Student may come out of uniform in the final days of school. We encourage leaving students to donate their uniforms to our clothing pool. Captains and Vice Captains for 2017 At the end of the presentation day ceremony, we announced our captains and vice captains elect for 2017. Congratulations to Charni and Davey, our captains for 2017 and Chelsea and Robbie, our vice captains for 2017. Thank you to all year five students who ran for these positions. New leaders will be inducted as a special assembly at 9:30am on the 8 th Feb 2017.

Presentation Day Yesterday we celebrated the many successes of our students during the year. Congratulations to all students both for their awards received and the positive comments about your class work in your reports coming home in a sealed envelope today as well. Our major award winners were; English - Lachlan, Maths - Deegan, Science & Technology - Lachlan, HSIE - Lachlan, Mrs Edwards Creative Arts – James, PD/Health/PE -Jess, Sport – Brenden, Dudley Jones Tennis - Brenden, Library - Brenden, Citizenship - Monique, Principal’s Award -Kieran and Dux award - Lachlan. Congratulations to everyone!

Year Six Medallion Winners

Year Six Farewell On Monday night, students in years five and six celebrated the Year Six Farewell with staff and family members. The organising committee of parents and staff are to be congratulated on a wonderful evening. The decorations were wonderful and our students enjoyed the lovely food, speeches and dancing during the evening.

Swimming Carnival & Fun Day Thank you to all students for their wonderful efforts and behaviour at our school swimming carnival and fun day last Friday. Students who swam in 50m and 100m events as well as the individual medley, may have qualified for the small school swimming carnival early in 2017. A separate note will come home about this early next year. Congratulations to our age champions from the carnival Angas and Megan (junior champions), Lachlan and Jess (11 years champions) and Brenden and Monique (senior champions). Congratulations to Goolang and Blaxland house teams who tied on points during the carnival.

Winning House Captains with Swimming Trophy Farewell Tracy At our presentation day assembly today, we farewelled Mrs Tracy Hunt as our outgoing P&C president. Tracy has been involved for a long time at our school and we wish her all the best for the future. Final Days of School Friday 16th December is the final school day for our students and a day when our year six students have their traditional water balloon fight. After

the water fight our students will create a farewell arch for our outgoing year six to walk through. This will be around 3:05pm. Canteen News Canteen will be open on Friday with many special prices to help clear food stocks before the holidays. Thank you to all our canteen volunteers for your dedication throughout the year. We appreciate all you do for our school and students. Christmas Light Bus Tour Mr Fuller will be running a tour around Grafton on Saturday 17th December to admire the Christmas lights and decorations. The bus leaves from the Coutts Store at 7.30pm and costs $10 per person. To make a booking please phone 0428 493147.
