• GCS-M-001 § 6.1: “A block of instruction that is less than the entirety of the Standard Course of Study…”

• Scheduled using the previous course code with “XR” in the 8th & 9th Digit

• If unavailable, then scheduled with the code: 96162X0(XR) “Credit Recovery Prev. Grad. Req. Course”

Repeating a Course for Credit

• GCS-M-001 § 7.1: “a high school course repeated via any delivery method when the entire Standard Course of Study for that course is being taught to the student for a second time.”

• Scheduled using the EXACT SAME* course code as before (including local digit extensions) – must consider how generic codes are used

• Can college courses be repeated for credit? This decision is made by the college (not DPI or LEA)

• State policy only specifies previously failed courses*except when equivalents are predetermined
