WWee, the Dauphin County Board of Commissioners, take pride and pleasure in joining
the many family members, friends and members of the community at large in congratulating Marie Rebuck upon her richly deserved retirement after 35 years of service to the County of Dauphin;
WWhheerreeaass, since January of 1980, when she joined the Dauphin County Controller’s
Office, she has been a trustworthy custodian of the county’s fiscal records, and is known to be dedicated, dependable and hard-working;
WWhheerreeaass, as Dauphin County Controller, Marie has become one of Dauphin
County’s most prominent, recognizable and beloved leaders;
WWhheerreeaass, in addition to her distinguished career, she remains active in her hometown
of Halifax and continues to touch many lives in countless ways, including her volunteer work with the Relay for Life;
WWhheerreeaass, Marie exemplifies the best of American ideals and is a shining example of
Dauphin County excellence;
TThheerreeffoorree, we join the 270,000 residents of Dauphin County in congratulating Marie
Rebuck as she retires from a lifetime of hard work and public service as County Controller; we wish her continued health, happiness and success in the years to come; and in grateful recognition thereof, we do hereby proudly proclaim December 9, 2015 to be “Marie Rebuck Day” in Dauphin County.
In witness thereof, we have hereunto set our hand and caused the seal of the Commissioners of Dauphin County to be affixed this 9th day of December 9, 2015.
