Judicial system
● Although judicial independence exist in principle, in practice there is little separation of juridical and political powers. Judges are subjected to pressure by political and business interests. Ukraine's court system is widely regarded as corrupt.
● In 2013, a Transparency International Global Corruption Barometer report showed that 66% of the Ukrainian public considered the judiciary to be the most corrupt institution in the country.

Corruption in Ministry of Internal Affairs (Police)
● Policemen are involved into racket: illegal street seller pays each week to «his» policeman: 100 UAH (68 DKK) in case if they sell food, 2000 UAH (1285 DKK) if it's a pusher.
● Place in district police office costs 2,500 — 3,000 USD. Positions of head of region police can cost up to 1M USD.
● Students of MIA universities pay up to 15,000 USD in bribe for their place in university.

● The declared clearance of crime is 60%, but the real one is about 20% (acc. to Prosecutor General office).
● E.g. From 4500 cases about intentional homicides only 535 has reached courts.

Corruption in state procurements
● According to Security Service of Ukraine 50-75% of state procurements were conducted with severe violations and losses from corrupt deals in procurement accounted for 10-15% (35B - 52B UAH, 3B — 4,5B EUR) annually.
● Starting from 2012 Ukrainian state has right to conduct procurement procedures without any disclosure of documents.
● Transparency of state procurements is one of requirements from EU in Association Agreement with Ukraine.
