CORRECTIVE ACTIONS AGAINST SURGICAL WASTE AND GUTKA

Corrective Actions against Surgical and Clinical

Waste

Page 2: Corrective Actions Against Clinical Waste & Gutka

Biomedical waste should be collected in containers that are leak-proof and sufficiently

strong to prevent breakage during handling.

Containers of biomedical waste are marked with a biohazard symbol (pictured). The

container, marking and/or labels are often red.

Biomedical waste treatment is to reduce or eliminate the waste's hazards, and usually to

make the waste unrecognizable. Treatment should render the waste safe for subsequent

handling and disposal.

Incinerator is used to destroy the clinical and surgical waste.

Incineration process should be used to burn the surgical wastage on high temperature

until nothing is left but ashes.

Incinerators should be used in every hospital both private and government.

Local government should develop and implement appropriate management strategies as

well as provide recommendations to protect human health and environment.

Government should take action against whoever is using clinical waste to make new

products like dishes, feeders, spoons, glasses, jugs, etc.

Corrective Actions against Gutka

Government should ban on its production, distribution and storage.

Government should take action against the mafia who is making and selling it to

public.

It should be restricted because it causes Cancer and other harmful diseases.
