Davidson Oil & GasDavidson Oil & Gas Limited is an indige-nous oil and gas services and industrial gas production company. Incorporated in 1999, Davidson and its team has over 35 years experience in the production of industrial gases and oil well chemicals, provision of engineering and technical services, procurement and manpower supply services to the Nigerian oil & gas industry and other allied companies.

We have also gained a strong interna-tional partnership with Lamar Engineer-ing a major player in the energy sector of the Middle East and Africa region. Oscar Associates of the United Kingdom and JAB Recruitment USA, for our Expatriate Manpower supply services.

GAS PRODUCTION AND SUPPLY

Davidson has two gas plants located in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State; One produc-ing Oxygen at a purity percentage of 99.9% and Nitrogen at a purity of 99.9%. The second plant produces Acetylene at a purity percentage of 99.6%.

We supply purity and cylinder test certificates to dealers and end-users on request. Our acetylene gas-filling pres-sure 18 bars minimum and 22 bars max-imum. Oxygen and Nitrogen gas-filling pressure is 150 bars kg/cm2 maximum.

Products and ServicesLIQUEFIED PETROLEUM GAS AND COMPRESSED NATURAL GAS SUPPLY

Davidson has the capacity to supply its clients with NLNG Specification Lique-fied Petroleum Gas and Compressed Natural Gas.

OIL WELL CHEMICAL PRODUCTION

We produce Hydrated Lime, commonly used to maintain the alkalinity of oil-based drilling fluids where it enhances the performance of emulsifiers and offers a degree of corrosion protection.

Our Hydrated lime (OH)2 has an average purity percentage of 80%; it is dried to 0.1% and packaged in 25kg sacks.

Fabrication/Structural Work

Our Facilities allow us to carry out a wide range of fabrication projects rang-ing from pipeline production facility maintenance, Tank Fabrication, pipeline fabrication and construction and all Structural fabrication. We also fabricate high quality wave management Skips for hire by the oil and gas industry. Davidson provides specialized services including Laying of oil and gas pipelines. We also carry out Hydro test to check the integ-rity of our fabricated spools using the relevant ASME standards.

Electrical, Instrumentation and Control

Our instrumentation services include Installation and Calibration of instru-ments, Instrument Fitting, Pipe Line Leak detection Using Continuous and non-continuous leak detection technique hook up to the HMI, construction and testing of electrical switchboards, mar-shalling cabinets, control cabinets and industrial process automation .

PROCUREMENT AND SUPPLY

Davidson Oil & Gas procurement depart-ment specializes in the procurement of mechanical and electrical maintenance materials for the major international and national exploration and production companies, gas production and power plant operators in Nigeria.

Our team of specialists provide advice to clients, negotiate and procure parts and materials from manufacturers and vendors at the best possible price and ensures requirements are delivered timely to the client’s site.

In our warehousing facilities in Port- Harcourt we conduct quality controls checks on all equipment procured before delivery to clients.

We also manage the logistics of secure shipment to required sites around the country.

MANPOWER SERVICES

Davidson has a recruitment license/ employers permit from the Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity. This license covers both Local and Expatriate Manpower Supply. We are a member of HUCAPAN – Human Capital Association of Nigeria.

LAMAR-DAVIDSON ENGINEERING

Lamar Engineering has been focused on becoming a major player in the energy sector of the Middle East and Africa region. Lamar is based in Saudi Arabia with a pres-ence in Bahrain and Nigeria (through its technical partnership with Davidson).

Davidson has been successful in estab-lishing numerous new joint ventures and several strategic partnerships with major international and Local companies in the Oil and gas, water and power sectors.

Through our partnership, Lamar-Davidson participates competitively in the mud engi-neering services, Well head maintenance, Waste management and major mid-stream services like construction and power gener-ation services.

PSL Limited

With a production capacity in excess of the 1 million ton mark, PSL is India’s largest producer/manufacturer of HSAW pipes - the line-pipe industry’s preferred pipe. PSL leadership in the pipe industry is not confined to the developing markets alone. Though this market is large and still growing - global recognition for PSL products is reflected in the huge orders already in hand from the US even before the commissioning of our 300,000 MT capacity plant in Mississippi.

Lamar-Davidson’s Partnership with L&T

In late 2010 Lamar Holding Signed a stra-tegic partnership agreement with Larsen & Toubro Hydrocarbon to venture Jointly in the growing hydrocarbon Sector of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The venture will target Major Hydrocarbon projects with Sabic , Saudi Aramco and KJO among others.

Lamar-Davidson Partnership with Sinopec

Sinopec Service and Lamar Holding have formed a strategic alliance and partnership in 2008 to explore oppor-tunities in the oil and gas sector in Saudi Arabia and the region. The Joint venture targeted Joint bidding for projects in Saudi Arabia as well as joint investment in creating a large fabrication unit as well as investment in oil and gas refining opportunities in the region.

Since then the venture have been suc-cessful in wining more than 7 projects worth over 1.5 Billion USD.

MR. DAVID. A. OLOTU CHAIRMAN AND CEO

David is the Founder of Davidson Oil & Gas limited, a well engineering profes-sional with over 40 years’ experience in the energy industry, primarily with Shell International, during which period David occupied several key roles including Head of Well Engineering Contract and Finance, and Head of Well Engineering Operations and in Shell Nigeria.

In the course of his long career, David has worked in several countries, includ-ing Singapore, Brunei, The Netherlands, and Nigeria. He has a wealth of industry experience and a track record in techni-cal and operational delivery.

MR. EDMUND OLOTU EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, FINANCE

Edmund He holds a B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering from University of Manches-ter School of Engineering, M.Sc in Sci-ence and Technology Entrepreneurship with a Distinction from the University of Nottingham Business School, and an M.A in Management (Finance Concentration) from Harvard University, Faculty of Arts and Science.

Edmund develops Davidson’s finance and organization strategies. He actively monitors financial performance of David-son’s business interests with a view to maximize returns on invested funds.

Edmund is also the Founder and Man-aging Partner of Tech Advance Limited – a Nigerian technology incubator with companies in Nigeria and the USA. He founded and launched G – Pay Instant Payments Limited in Nigeria – a payment processing company that processes PHCN bills and University School fees in excess of N3Billion yearly.

MR. OSAYI ETHAN OLOTU EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, OPERATIONS AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Osayi is a graduate of The University of Newcastle where he achieve a Bache-lors degree in Business Management; he then went on to University of Man-chester where he achieved a Bachelor’s degree in Law and a Masters of Law in Business and Commercial Law. He is also a Financial Management graduate of Judge Business School, University of Cambridge.

Ethan leads development and imple-mentation of strategic plans to increase Davidson’s efficiency and effectiveness. He is also tasked with expanding the global client-base by winning new business with new and exisiting clients. Ethan oversees the contract and pro-curement departments.

Ethan’s academic, work experience and entrepreneurial efforts have afforded him a very expansive and broad under-standing of the Nigerian Oil & Gas and Recycling Industry and a unique insight into the challenges and complexities of business operations, development and implementation in Nigeria.

DR. LANRE AFOLABI TECHNICAL DIRECTOR, NON-EXECUTIVE

Dr. Lanre is a mechanical engineer with an extensive background in fluid dynamics and multi-phase flow, he has over eight years of experience in state-of-the-art research and development across several applications of multiphase fluid dynamics. He is a graduate of the University of Leicester where he com-pleted a Masters and Doctorate degree in mechanical engineering, specializing in fluids and solid separation technology.

After his PHD, he worked for a leading engineering design and innovation company called Dyson Technology Lim-ited UK. He also works for an indigenous exploration and petroleum production company called First E&P, where he was involved in the conceptual design of a green field asset in the shallow offshore region of the Niger-Delta, sized sepa-rators, pumps and compressors to be used in the production facilities. He was responsible for the design of a NAG pro-cessing and conditioning facility which is to be located on a Floating Production Storage and Offloading vessel (FPSO).
