CORE TRANSPORT GROUP – CAPABILITY STATEMENT 10 11

Page 7: CORETG 5479 Capability statement spreads March 2015

In 2014 CORE created our own policies and procedures for subcontractors specifically for the high level of compliance in the Oil and Gas and Construction industries.

CORE Group contractors bring their native experience plus our comprehensive compliance designed for this industry.

Promoting a high standard of excellence both internally and externally, CORE Transport Group has procedures to ensure our values and Code of Conduct are adhered to.

By bringing industry compliance to established operators we change the nature of the transport industry itself. We deliver the capacity of Australia’s independent operators as an end to end service offering – owner care, local knowledge, group power and industry compliance.

Our culture promotes collaboration between operators so our pool of equipment is capable of the widest range of combinations.

We affect change in the operators to change the industry – with all its unintended benefits. We pool the experiences and resources of Australia’s owner drivers.

The CORE Group business model builds innovation by providing expert operators the opportunity to pool their experience, record the outcomes and share a huge knowledge base.

Knowledge management within CORE provides real time support for our drivers in the field. Our operators are never alone.

From local knowledge and on-ground connections built over years we see practical solutions with in a culture of sharing.

We find solutions to problems before they become expensive issues.

Innovations in methods and equipment come from drivers who have a stake in minimising downtime and extra costs.

Through membership to the group we give independent operators industry standard systems and methods for accreditation and professional development.

Our training and compliance management means our operators are always at the forefront of best practice.

We develop our workforce by continuing our commitment to ‘investing in people’.

Our handpicked highly experienced and professional individuals possess vast experience in Mining, Construction and the Oil & Gas industries. Each and every one a key player in the business.

CORE is built from a network of owner drivers. People with local knowledge. People who understand the advantage of minimising costs because they own the truck they are driving. People who know how to draw on resources in the field.

People who know the language of Oil and Gas and understand the protocols of moving precious cargo on site. People who were founders of Australian drill rig moving. People who have driven transport evolution.

We provide experienced operators with the compliance framework to work more efficiently and in large scale projects. This means skilled operators can get back to focusing on the road.

With CORE Group backing, their skills and capacities multiply.

All CORE subcontractors come pre-qualified matching the right skills to the project. They have a clear understanding of what is expected in relation to:

Equipment standards •

On-site protocols•

Best practices methods•

Personal protection •

and safety

Environmental requirements•

Supervision, reporting and control of jobs comes from CORE. The contractor takes over the methodology on the ground with CORE transport supervising the job and CORE reporting to the client.

CORE Transport Group’s drivers and site staff behave in a manner of honesty, integrity and respect. We believe they stand as representatives of CORE Transport and our clients.

The CORE Transport Group business model is applicable nation wide.

Our senior associates review all HSSE documents to ensure all worker activities are based on a risk management approach.

For project and over dimensional heavy haulage moves, transport routes are created from current road condition information surveyed specific to the cargo.

As part of compliance an experienced transport supervisor will survey the route to pin point any hazards or potential dangers prior to transport. Bridge loading, high wire, road tolerances, access issues, rail sidings – all identified, detailed and documented to provide the information for planning the most efficient A to B.

Following the route survey a Transport Journey Management Plan is provided to customers detailing the route, schedule and required resources.

We map out the time frames, potential delays, contingencies and how to avoid or mitigate hazards.

We also manage key stake holder involvement from local authorities such as councils, main roads and police.

Transport plans are provided for approval prior to transport.

Our environment policies are designed to minimise risk and reduce impact. This includes road impact minimisation, dust suppression and cultural disturbance mitigation.

We are aware of the emphasis on cultural sensitivities surrounding indigenous heritage and sacred sites.

Operators are instructed not to undertake any unapproved transport or to go any where other than stipulated. To stay within designated transport corridors and not to embark on travel that may endanger items of cultural significance.

These are work practices that have been informed by years of experience working along side and within sensitive areas.

CORE Transport Group aims to provide a safe and healthy working environment and safe systems of work for all employees, implementing a stringent Risk Prevention Policy.

CORE Transport Group’s Fatigue Management Policy demonstrates the on-going commitment to managing driving hours and fatigue within the workplace.

Our Fatigue Management Procedures cover issues such as:

Driving hours•

On road scheduling•

Scheduling of drivers•

Rostering•

Fitness for duty•

General health assessments•

Exercises to help neck, back, •

shoulders and legs

Fatigue training and •

education

All CORE Transport Group employees and contracted staff are provided with fatigue training and education on a quarterly basis.

The Transport Supervisor conducts toolbox meetings prior to commencement to identify hazards, outline the job description and nominate specific personnel to monitor any foreseeable risks and hazards.

In the event of an incident CORE Transport Group has procedures for the safety of all personnel present.

The CORE Transport Group Incident Reporting Procedure shall apply to any incident, work related illness or dangerous event that occurs at a CORE Transport Group work site. It applies to all workers, visitors and contractors.

The Incident Report is completed by the HSSE Consultant and held at Head Office, no later than five working days after the last day of the month ends. This report includes a summary reporting of all reportable incidents and near misses.

In the event of identifying nonconforming personnel or equipment, CORE Transport Group consults with the relevant personnel and evaluates the situation.

CORE Transport Group consult the involved parties to ascertain whether the personnel, equipment or hazard can be isolated or removed from site. In conjunction with the above incident reporting methods, nonconformance will be recorded and available to those parties directly involved.

CORE Transport Group’s comprehensive policies are the cornerstone of our operation.

We developed our operating manual and policies and procedures from our pool of experienced industry professionals. It is central to our operation. It is written for our operators to understand and implement.

It is a handbook for remote Australia, proven from years of experience, capturing decades of local knowledge, distilling the common sense from our most experienced operators.

With ground rules that cover all aspects of regular transport we then have sections specific to Oil and Gas, Specialised Transport, Exploration Transport, Hotshots and Ports.

These policies are subject to a regular audit process and are live documents with regular updates.

All subcontractors operating under the CORE Transport Group banner are required to successfully complete and comply with the stringent CORE Transport Group qualification standards.

Constant review of training and inductions ensure that all CORE Transport Group workers are suitably trained in work, health, safety and environment and the tasks they are required to undertake. We regularly review all aspects of work, health, safety and environment at all scheduled meetings and ensure all worker activities are based on a risk management approach.

CORE monitors their training, compliance, tickets, licences and medicals and conducts client and site specific inductions.

CORE Transport Group drivers must adhere to the Work Health and Safety Policy and Procedures Manual and CORE Transport Group Driver’s Manual before commencing work on any job site in Australia.
