COURSE POLICIES INSTRUCTOR: CHELSEA WHITE EMAIL: [email protected] OFFICE HOURS: TUESDAYS & THURSDAYS 10:00-11:30AM (GAB 322) Be Prepared & Check-in: When you come to class, be mentally and physically ready. Do your work, get good sleep, eat, pump some tunes before class, give yourself ample time to finish your work, and stay caffeinated! Leave your problems at the door, don’t stress and prepare yourself to succeed. Syllabus= Your BFF The syllabus provided for this course contains most of the informtion students need to excel in the course. It provides due dates of assignments, course objectives, and detailed information about assignments. Please review the syllabus to answer your questions before emailing me. Email When emailing me, please be concise and professional. Allow up to one business day (24-48 hours) to receive a response. Therefore, please do not email me last minute with any requests or questions. Always be sure to refer back to the syllabus for questions about the course or Revel for questions about any assignments. Late Work No late work will be accepted in this course. If you know you will be absent, please let me know in advance to see if you will be eligible to turn in your work early. Respect This class will be discussing things that may be controversial. Respect other’s opinions and beliefs, even if they are not the same as yours. My online classroom is a space in which students can grow and learn while being respected. This means listening to what others have to say, cultivating your thoughts in a way that is not offensive, and expressing your thoughts in a factual way. I have a no tolerance policy for racism, sexism, or ageism. If you engage in any offensive behavior, you will be asked to leave the class and receive zero credit. Grades & Assignments If you have questions on grades/assignments, you may set up a meeting with me during office hours. Once a grade is submitted, you must wait 24-48 hours to allow yourself to really look over your grade and then set up a meeting, if there is still concern. You have up to 7 days to contact me concerning a grade or feedback. After the week is up, the grade will not be changed.
