PMC RangePrecious Metal Clay (PMC) is a simple way of creating pure

silver jewellery or decorative items. PMC is a clay like material

made of 99.9% pure silver and an organic binder. The organic

binder burns away during the firing process to leave a fine silver

item which can be hallmarked.

Fine Silver Precious Metal Clay - PMC3This is the latest type of PMC and recommended for anyone starting to work with clay. It shrinks only around 6 percent. As it is the most durable and strongest, it is most suitable for rings. PMC3 is also the best for using with glass.In addition it has the best luster of the three types of PMC.PMC3 fires at a low temperature and can be torch fired in 2 minutes. When torch firing remember to time the two minutes from the time the piece starts to glow. Ideally pieces should beno larger or thicker than a 50 pence piece.PMC3 is available in Clay, Clay in a Syringe and Paste. As the silver particles in PMC3 clay are the most dense of therange, it should be used for carrying out repairs on any type of fired PMC.

PMC3 Syringe 9g - (fine silver)855 020 9.74

This form of PMC3 allows the user to extrude PMC3 in a string-like shape. Syringe form is

slightly more moist than clay form but not as moist as paste. Syringe form is useful either

to decorate items made with other forms or to create objects such as filigree. The syringe

comes loaded with 9 grams of PMC3 projects and includes one tip that can be trimmed to

allow different gauge extrusion.

PMC3 is a fast firing material, this clay fuses in as little as ten minutes in a kiln.

Shrinkage is approximately 8 to 10%. Firing temperature ranges from 1110 to 1290 F.

This is a very versatile form of PMC3. You can use it to coat actual organic objects like

leaves to create an exact image of the original. This material is wonderful for making hollow
