CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION

TRAINING COURSEJANUARY 16 TO 20, 2012

Consulting Engineers of Ontario (CEO) and the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) are holding a Contract AdministrationCourse from Monday, January 16 to Friday, January 20, 2012. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. on January 16th andthe course runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Tuesday and Wednesday will include a two hour evening session. The finalexam will be written Friday morning. Pre-requisite: Highway Construction Inspection (HCI) course. Participants are

eligible for 10 OACETT points upon successful completion of the course.

Who Should AttendThis course will prepare consulting engineering personnel for the role of Contract Administrator and is also intended forMTO personnel with responsibilities for consultant assignments. With appropriate field experience, this course isapproved to meet part of the criteria of the MTO/OACETT Road Construction Contract Administrator (rcca) designation

PurposeCEO, assisted by experienced highway contract administrators/project managers, is holding a one-week trainingprogram on contract administration. The program, updated to cover new policies and practices, provides acomprehensive overview of highway contract administration including:

Roles and Responsibilities Payment Verification and Contract Changes Pre-Construction Activities Contractor QC - QVE The Constructor Issue Hot Mix Paving Construction Signing and Traffic Control Concrete and Structures Contract Types and Duration Substantial Performance and Completion Aggregates Post Construction Activities

Evaluation Process Daily Quizzes Monday to Thursday (closed book) 20% Overall grade of 60% required Comprehensive Final Exam - Friday (open book) - 80% Pass Fail notification only

Registration FeeCost includes continental breakfast, lunch, refreshments, and printed material for the week.

$1,723.25 ($1,525.00 + HST)
